There are incredibly huge black margins on either side of the board with this new version. Seems like I was watching a wide screen movie on TV rotated 90 degrees. This has lead to a very unsightly, cramped appearance and it's making my eyes hurt. I hope this wide-margin issue can be addressed and is not permanent.

Also I would like to make a comment on post times. Everything now says last post 1 hour ago or 2 days ago or 30 minutes ago or something. I can just as easily subtract and figure this out, so I would like it if the exact time of last post could be displayed again on the thread listing pages. Again, I think it's just better on the eyes.

I think the general consensus, at least that I've heard, is that people like these new boards, but there is much room for improvements. I myself don't like the aforemention things, the discoloration of the toolbars, the new new post etc icons are a good idea but there isn't that easy to see massive difference to know if a thread has a new message in it or not. I guess I'm just really used to the old boards and looking for colors and now the icons are one color but says "new post." I can deal with growing pains and adapting to the new, but there are some things here that I would greatly encourage the addressing of before this board breaks out of its beta-status.

If other members have anything else to comment on this by all means contribute!

Yes, I'm very grateful that we didn't have to re-register once the boards were transferred over to the new server-thingy.

I definitely agree about the margins. I wonder if it would be possible to have the boards open in a separate window like they used to--just to make it easier on the eyes. There's definitely a lot of new stuff to get used to on these new boards, but it's so...cramped. Cramped makes it feel scary somehow. I feel like I may mess something up. Oh, whoops. :P

I'm very grateful that the purple theme was kept. :D Mwuahahahahaaaa...

Yeah. Looking forward to seeing what else will go on with the new boards!

The cramped margins (760 pixel width) is temporary until the NEW Visions Fantastic opens up. We're completely redesigning the main site, integrating the forums, Galleries, logins, etc into one big package. It's a big undertaking, but when it's finished the site will finally fill 100% of your viewing screen (something that VF nor Disneylandsource.com were ever able to do) so those using higher resolutions will not have to deal with the margins. The VF screen will expand and contract depending on your screen size).

We don't have a definate timeline when the new VF will open, but certain portions of the website are already closing and being reworked for it, so we will hope to get things up and running as soon as possible.

As for the other issues in this thread, we are trying things out and overall the response has been positive, and expect changes over the next couple of weeks, but we can't address or change every request or desire that comes in.
