Well, after 18 years of begging and pleading, my parents finally agreed to take the family to WDW!!! YAY!!! Applause, Applause! However, I've never been before and the website is really weird and odd to navigate, and I have a few questions as I plan my trip!

1) I keep reading about how some of the rides have a "Pal Mickey" feature, and I was wondering, what is it? I get it's a plush toy, but what does it do and is it worth it to have have one? I have a 7 year old brother coming with me, and I think he may enjoy it, but I don't want to spend $$$ on something worthless.

2) Also, as stated above, my youngest brother is kinda little, and as we were looking at the website together, he was asking me if some of the roller-coasters go upside down. It's not that he wouldn't want to go, but it does become slightly traumatic for him if he doesn't know what's coming. (I don't know if that made any sense!) So my question is, are there rides that might freak him out, and if so, what are they? We are going to all the parks, so any info at any park would be helpful!

3) I would also like to ask how is the weather in the summer? I know it will be VERY hot and VERY muggy during the day, but I read somewhere that at night it can become slightly chilly and a light sweater should be worn, but I'm not sure if this is true. Should I bring something warmer at night, or ditch the sweater and wear a t-shirt instead?

I have more questions, but as this post is getting kinda long, I'll leave it to these 3 for now! Again, any advice will be appreciated and thank you in advance for helping little me! Thanks! ;)

Pal Mickey is, and I quote Disney on this, a "huggable, interactive Mickey Mouse plush will let you in on insider park tips, give you parade and showtime reminders, tell you when your favorite characters are nearby, and let you know about short waits at your favorite attractions. Pal Mickey will entertain kids of all ages with his jokes, interactive games and fun facts that will make your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort truly magical." I hav never used one but they are supposed to be really cool for young children. You can buy one for about $65 or you could rent one.

Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain can be scary because it is in the dark.
Epcot: No roller coasters here, although Mission Space can be intense for younger ones.
MGM: Rockin' Roller Coaster is awesome; however, it is in the dark like Space Mountain and it does go upside down. Tower of Terror can be scary to kids as well.
Animal Kingdom: Dinnosaur can be scary if you think the Indiana Jones Adventure is scary. Expedtion Everest is probably a big no for your brother though. It's very intense, perhaps too intense for a small child.

If you go in the summer, the weather MAY be cooler at night... but it's been my experience that temperatures often still hover in the 80s, even at night. I'd bring sweatshirts along just to be prepared, but you may not need them.

If you are going to stay there for like a week then i think for your little brother animal kinkgdom would be the best and if your staying for like 3 days then go to these parks first.
1.Animal Kingdom
2.Magic Kingdom
3.Epcot
4.MGM Studios

Thanks for all your advice! It's really good to know what my little brother may or may not like, so thank you again! We're staying there for a week, and plan to go to all the parks and stuff when we're there.

We are also going to the water parks too. Again though, we are going in mid-June, and while I do understand that this is the WORST time to go crowd and weather wise, how early do you have to go to get in the waterparks? I understand that during the summer the waterparks fill up quickly and don't allow anyone else to enter. Does anyone have anymore info on this? Thanks! ;)
