Here is a list of things they added to the game early this morning. Release Notes (http://apps.pirates.go.com/pirates/v3/#/news/releasenotes.html) Pretty cool now you can change thier clothing, hair and other things. They also added dances and jigs that the pirates do which was really funny because people where dancing all over the place this morning. There is also a free black bandana with a skull that they are giving away to your pirate if you are a unlimited member. You must pick this up by March 3rd though.

I played the game thru beta and every once in awhile, but overall was very disappointed with this game. I've been playing online role games for about 9 years and have beta tested a few others , but this game compared to current game is very behind. behind with the graphic engine it uses and behind in game content. especally now as the company is moving towards doing its own games I thought this was a lacking effort for them... but just my opinion

Well I think they purposly keep the graphics low so that more people can play without issues. I do not play a lot of online games but I like this one. IM also not into roll playing games at all but I find myself hooked lol. There is so much to do it keeps me going.

I suspect it has a lot to do with the market they're going for... I think it's safe to say that they're not even trying to attract the hardcore online gamers with this. It's meant to draw in the younger PotC fans first and foremost, who if anything would be more familiar with VMK and Toontown.
I happen to enjoy it as a purely recreational player... I don't play it seriously, and maybe once a week if that. The PotC theme is enough for me, though I'm starting to hit a wall where the needs of the quests are outstripping my abilities... Anybody wanna' help me down 4 EITC Corvettes for Doc Grog?
I do like the idea of being able to change my character's looks now, though I'm actually quite satisfied with this guy. I would like to change my original character - who has this user name! - but he's so low level now compared to the one I'm actively using that levelling him up and going through all those quests again would be absolute tedium.

I can't get on for a while. My graphics card is broken, so now I'm using the on-board card which wont play PotC very well. I have to wait until the new one comes to play it.
