Forgive me if there is already a thread on this. I've searched and not found one. This really isn't a rumor, but I wasn't quite sure which category this topic fits under...

I'm wondering if there is a list of "favorite" quotes of Walt Disney's?

I've been a fan of Walt Disney as long as I can recall, although I'm just now finding time to really research the man and the organization.

I'll be buying books about Walt soon, but truthfully I find this site to be one of the largest vaults of knowledge available.

I could embarrass myself by telling you stories of just how excited I get about the Disney parks I get to visit once every three or four years, and when I hear or tell stories about Walt Disney... But that's for another thread.

So... Do you have a favorite quote? Do you know about a list somewhere of his quotes? Even better, is there a reason or story to go along with why a particular thing Walt said or did is your favorite? (I'm talking about lesser known things here, not the obvious "He built DL" and the like!!)

There is a book called "The Quotable Walt Disney" that is full of wonderful quotes made by Walt Disney. I use many of them on my Outlook E-mail at work.

you might be able to find a lot of them on some other sites if you just google it. but a book would be better... i think.

they also make pins of his quotes. I tried to collect all of them, but cant find a lot of them anymore.

I will have to look for that book! We just watched "The Man Behind The Myth"... What a fantastic documentary. My wife is making fun of me for shushing her when I couldn't hear and for laughing and crying all while watching a documentary. This film also pointed me to the Walt Disney Foundation Museum website. I had never heard of it until today.... waltdisney dot com (seems I'm not allowed to post urls just yet... too much time reading and not enough posting I guess.)

Do you think "Quotable Walt Disney" will help with being in the Board of Directors (if I make it one day) in helping the company to run traditionally as it was meant to be, the way walt wanted?
