Going To The Disney Vault on Jan. 31st 2008

Hello All,

5 Disney DVDs Are leaving us because they are going to the Disney vault:

PLATINUM EDITIONS
- Aladdin Special Edition
- Cinderella Special Edition

DIRECT-TO-VIDEO
- Aladdin 2: The Return Of Jafar
- Aladdin and the King of Thieves
- Cinderella III: A Twist In Time


So you know.... you should get them before they are gone (I need Cinderella, and for the DTV ones i don't really care)

Thankfully I have these. But just out of curiosity, has Beauty and the Beast gone back into the Vault by any chance?

Why are they going back to the vault?

Because Disney movies are only released for a limited time and then they go back into the vault. I think it's to get people to buy them before they go out.

They release them for a limited amount of time so people will rush out and buy them, while they still have the chance. Kinda sneaky, if you ask me.

Beauty and the Beast has been back in the vault for some time now. The generally stay there for about 10 years... i think. Getting a copy of Beauty and the Beast Platinum Edition on dvd is like... getting the golden fleece or a hair from the top of a sasquatch's head. Very hard to find... and when you do... very expensive. I would start by looking on Ebay.. and even then, be careful of the pirated copies they try to pass off as legitimate. They will try to tell you that its from a different "region". when I called Disney about this, they said it was hokey.

^Thanks Kodak. That's too bad, though I have been trying to get my hands on it for some time, it's nice to know that it is gone and that I'm not just missing it in the video store.
