i don't know... but last time i rode it, i felt like i needed to be slouched down. It felt like there were giant white metal poles inches above my head....

Going at those speeds, whatever hit his head would have to be pretty flexible and light otherwise it would have cracked his head open. If it was metal, he would likely be dead.

It probably was a mickey cap or something that flew off someone's head and hit him. As said, if he were to hit a metal beam, there would be a gigantic blood mark along with brain fragments an pieces of bone left on the trains and the beam.

Just dont keep your mouth open when you get closer to the end of the ride... The people on the top might get sick... :)

You aren't going to hit your head on anything. You whiz by it so quickly you brain doesn't have time to observe the area. If you were stopped at a brake zone and had more then three seconds to look at it, you'd realize that it is high enough. Since your brain doesn't have time, it takes caution and assumes its too short, just to be safe. But they have put dummies in every seat that are almost 7 feet tall, and have arms that are five feet long, and they lock the arms up above there heads. Now the newest method of doing this is having sensors in the arms, or putting paint on the structures. If the arm comes back in a different position, or is partially missing, or it has paint on it, they know there is a problem. even though there aren't many people that are 8 feet tall, any bumps could make the ride move up and it could make them hit something. Now im not sure how disney tested this, but almost every coaster i've seen on the travel channel shows how they test that. Since Disney is one of the Safest and most cautious parks, they most likely did a test like this. If six flags does it, Disney most definitly does.

i used to feel like something was going to hit my head and or hands but after Rockin' Space Mt. i saw how high above everything is and i can now raise my hands with confidence.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he didn't hit his head on anything too serious.

Nice answer ryguy, that is correct, in the dark and at about 28mph, your perception is distorted. If your friend had hit one of the support beams at that speed you would not still have a friend.

You know that's what I am scared of everytime I go on that ride , I mean it's not like I am that tall or anything - it's just that when I am in there , I always duck for some reason feeling like I am going get hit by the track or something .
