well first off you have to look like one of them in order to play.. Bone Structure, face shape, straight or crooked teeth, all plays a role.

Yes, take more pictures. Pick a character you think you look like and try to find some make shift costumes to put on.

It is very difficult to get in there. The others have given you good advice. You will need to be critical of yourself, and you need to have enough self-confidence to accept constructive criticism from others to survive as a face character.
