Pirates of the Caribbean Online set to reopen

Pirates of the Caribbean Online: Interview with Disney's Mike Goslin (http://news.filefront.com/pirates-of-the-caribbean-online-interview-with-disneys-mike-goslin/)
Gaming Today

MM( )RPG has a video interview with Disney?s Mike Goslin on the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean MMORPG.

After tweaks to the game as a result of feedback from the original beta, Disney is ready to reopen the beta. Goslin talks about the changes made to the game and the cool new villain. As a participant in the beta, I?m looking forward to seeing the changes being implemented in Pirates of the Caribbean. It has quite a lot of potential as well as room for improvement and will have some heavy competition from the Pirates of the Burning Sea MMO also launching this fall.

Players can expect to see Pirates of the Caribbean launched this fall. Watch the full video interview on MM( )RPG (http://www.mmorpg.com/showVideo.cfm/videoId/1126).

Disney Online has launched Pirates of the Caribbean Online, a multiplayer game for Windows and Mac OS X

PC World
Disney Online on Wednesday announced the launch of Pirates of the Caribbean Online (http://www.piratesonline.com/), a new massively multiplayer online game for Mac OS X and Windows users. It cost $4.95 for the first month and $9.95 for every month thereafter.

Based on the popular movie franchise, the game enables thousands of players to go on adventures as depicted in the films and explore the world beyond, as well. You can create and customize your own pirate, captain your own ship, assemble a crew of pirates and try to become the Caribbean's most legendary and feared marauder. Along the way you'll interact with characters from the movies like Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, along with new characters and enemies unique to the game. Players can forge alliances, hunt for treasure, battle the undead and more.

Players will do battle with period weapons like cutlasses, grenades, pistols and cannons and can unlock more powerful weapons as they increase their reputation. Mastery of skills like sword fighting, card playing and treasure hunting increases your esteem in the world, and voodoo magic is used to heal, travel and cast curses on enemies.
