What is the best Disney movie of all time?? This is THE Disney movie poll, it's time to think hard and perhaps dust off some of your videos... what's your final answer?

sorry if I didn't include your fave movie, I understand there are many more... That's why you can vote other and please specify which one! One rule I forgot: animated films only (i.e. don't vote "Other" if you're thinking of POTC or something like that!)

OK I am not too sure which would really be my favorite, but Fantasia to me was a masterpiece in motion that was so far ahead of it's time and still seams really under appreciated. Walt made a music video to classical music! Finally a visual you can put to music that you only could get emotion from seeing there was no lyrics. I wasn't even as impressed with Fantasia 2000 as I was with Fantasia. It lacked some of the qualities Fantasia had. Fantasia is like watching a beautiful dream on the screen.

In terms of classic value and due to the fact that these movies laid the foundation for an entire culture all of it's own, I would say that most of the movies are definately in my top ten. Peter Pan, Snow White, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Fantasia, and Sleeping Beauty are classics. I grew up on them, watching them daily. Toy Story is great; however, my favorite animated movie in terms of entertainment value and not classic value would be A Bugs Life. I love that movie! It's funny, it has great characters, and it has heart. Plus, it has Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Dave Foley, David Hyde Pierce, Denis Leary, Kevin Spacey in it. Who doesn't love Kevin Spacey?

I am surprised that the Hunchback of Notre Dame was not included on this list. I love this movie because of its amazing soundtracks, good character development, and visually arresting scenery.

My vote is for The Lion King...
I don't think Nemo or Toy Story apply here because they were Pixar productions long before Pixar was bought by Disney. Disney did have the rights to characters/likenesses, but they are not 'Disney movies' in the same breath as Aladdin, Snow White, or the rest.

Personally, I don't put Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, or The Little Mermaid in the same category as Peter Pan, Snow White, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Fantasia, and Sleeping Beauty.
In my brain they don't register as the same. I can't describe it but it just feels wrong to put them on the same level. Personlly, I could live without ever seeing the Lion King, Pocahontas, or Hunchback ever again.

My favorite is Robin Hood. The Lady and the Tramp and The Sword in the Stone are 2A & 2B on my list. I watched these movies all the time when I was a kid. Robin Hood is the only Disney animated movie that I bought when it was released on DVD. It also has my favorite soundtrack of any of the Disney movies.

My vote went for Pinocchio.
I grew up watching Pinocchio on VHS over and over, and it's still in great viewing condition!
My family and I have grown attached to the movie and its just something we can all enjoy together.

I must apologize to other fans of this movie for not including one of my top 3 favorite Disney films of all time- The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I didn't include it because I didn't think it would be as popular as some of the others, but may everyone know that I LOVE that movie!
and for me, Toy Story and Finding Nemo are definitely Disney.

Pocahontas ALL TIME FAVORITE! I totally forgot that. but I put Sleeping Beauty. I wish you could put more than one! That would be amazing. Oh I would probably pick all of them! Bummer. Oh well I love Pocahontas, SLeeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Little Mermaid, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella.
I do love Pirates, but I love it so much that I could never classify it as the Best Disney Movie of All Times. I mean they are so many Classics that just come way before Pirates or any Pixar Film. Expect I guess Toy Story. But that is a different story!

I chose Pinocchio, mainly because it contains THE ultimate Disney song..."When You Wish Upon A Star." Also, Jiminy Cricket, a giant whale, and perhaps the best line exchange of all time...
"Father, why are you crying?"
"Because you're dead, Pinocchio, now lay back down."
What's not to love????

I say Aladdin, it was the very first movie I saw in theaters and I was obsessed with it when I was younger [...and still am]. I love the characters, music and story. But what I think I like most is how I can watch it today and still laugh because the humor appeals to both kids and adults.
Maleficent's Lover

I voted for Sleeping Beauty. As if my SN wouldnt give the obvious reason. lol Besides having the the single most awesome villian ever created in a Disney film; I think the film is visually stunning. So much depth went into making the background, the foreground was able to really come alive. I think it also has some great characters. Maleficent is so regal and commands attention whenever she makes an apperance on screen. Eleanor's voice is what I believe makes the character. Man what I wouldnt give to have Eleanor's voice in an audio book! Her voice is almost hypnotyzing. Flora, Fauana and Merryweather.... what a trio! haha The chemestry that Verna Felton, Barbara Jo Allen and Barbara Luddy had was just awesome. The scene where they break out their wands and start getting ready for the party is one of my all time favorite scenes in a Disney movie. The music????? That is a classic in itself! For the animators to create such a great movie around such a rich score is astounding.

If it's best you want, I'd say "The Lion King". That movie had the perfect blend of animation, music, story and characters.
But, since you asked my favorite, it would have to be "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". Snow White annoys me at times, but I love the villain. Grimhilde will always be #1 in my book of Disney villains. The songs are memorable, too. I love "Heigh-ho". Also, the personalities of the dwarfs are great. I especially love Grumpy's transformation in his relationship with Snow White. Technologically speaking, Snow White was ahead of its time. It was a fantastic artistic endeavor that spawned almost 70 years of magic.
