If you've noticed extra vats of eyeliner being carried into Disney World's Magic Kingdom lately, it's because Captain Jack Sparrow from Disney's megapopular "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie series has been appearing daily in Adventureland. The appearances are part of a two-week test by Disney. Inside word is, as you'd expect, the good captain is very popular with guests. But having him around so often has made a tricky time of it for the good folks at Disney staffing.

One unexpected side note: Some of the guests think that they are going to meet Johnny Depp. Remember the magic, people! You're not there to see a famous movie star, you're waiting to interact with one scalliwag of a character.

And, finally, a special shout-out to the woman overheard muttering, "Well, that's no Johnny Depp": With all due respect, ma'am, you're no Keira Knightley.

i don't get this... jack has been appearing daily in adventureland since may/june of 2006.. and is in the halloween parade.. and since when is making sure a popular face character is there a problem for disney.
