parade of dreams show stop

What happens during the parade's stops. I've seen RU's video. But I need a little more detail.

I haven't seen RU42's videos, so I don't know what you did and did not see. During the parade stops, each float has some kind of entertainment. I know that the Lion King float has dancers or whatever that swing on vines almost horizontally. The Alice in Wonderland float has people dressed as cards who do flips on the table (which is a trampoline). I think some of the other floats just have the characters dancing. Actually, I've never been in a good location when the parade stops, so I can't give too much more info! Sorry, but I hope some of what I said helped!

it's basically the characters on and around the float dancing. i've never seen the first float or the little mermaid floats, but the last one with the castle has all the characters twirling flags, pinnochio has the puppets dancing and jumping, the alice in wonderland has cards flipping and really big flowers jumping up and down on their space shoes or whatever they are called...i've seen most of them and i think the best is the Lion King one, it has the most going on and usually you'll be able to see both that float and the last float doing their thing

lol yeah, i know when i went to DL and saw POD i sat where the beauty and the beast show stops, they just had the dancers dancing where the girls in the pin dresses (maybe they are plates idk) they extend their dress so it looks like they are plates and the utensils so a little dance and then belle and beast comes off and does their little dance

Stuff breaks, different people play different characters on any given day and there are sometimes different costumes, cast member attendance problems can lead to someone missing especially in a specialty role that can't be replaced easily...

it's a live show. stuff changes. the princes are the only thing that was a permanent decision

I know. That made me ticked too. Having the last float with only the princesses seem empty. But it's still my favorite parade!

alright im going to try to put an end to the rumor that the princes are not coming back:smile: My friend (who is an ex-prince charming, and now works on another float in the parade) told me back in april that the princes would be back around the summer season, now he told me this about two months ago so things could have changed and could be wrong but i wouldnt be surpised to see them back within the next month:biggrin:

Okay, I watched both of the videos and I saw some of the stuff you asking about. So what exactly do you mean about Ursula, I mean she was still there and it was pretty cool. The Bungee cords, I agree with Almandot, that cast members change as well as the floats. So you just never now, what you will see.

^Unless you work with DL. I wish I could work with DL. But I live in Spartanburg, SC. Which is like, far, far, far, far, far, far away. And I'm not old enough yet.

^ Yeah, I know how you feel, even though I live about 6 hours away,I feel like I live 10,000 miles away. Let's just say my parents are as enthused, about DL, has I am. But when we do take the time, which is about once a year, I really get excited. Since we are not going until November, I have been watching all the Disney Rides on VF and Youtube I can take in. But after reading this post I can't wait to see this parade. Its hard though, since during the parades are the best times to go on rides. I mean we always go than since a lot of people are out watching them instead of on the rides. So I will try out of the 3 maybe 4 days we are there, to see one or 2 parades.

I never heard that the shop stops were going away. I know duing a Heat Index I,II, III they revise choreography and cut the show stops down to two instead of the 3 (small world mall and main street)

Show Stop Story. I got a treat on Saturday during the 3:30 parade. I was sitting on a planter/bench right near Princess Fantasy Faire waiting for the parade and people watching for about an hour. Closer to parade time, CMs roped off the section for wheelchairs (did not make me move, though.) A dad rolled a young girl (9? 10? 11?) with Downe's Syndrome up to the curb. After Ratatouille went by she jumped into the street and danced for a while, but was safely in her chair when the parade started. At the Show Stop the Alice float was right in front of us. First the Queen of Hearts came over and gave the girl a big hug,then Alice came down off the float to talk to her and hug her and give her a curtsy lesson. Then the Queen came back and both Alice and the girl curtsied, which earned the girl another big hug from each. You could practically feel the sparks off the girl!
