Here's an idea I've been thinking of for a while. It's a restaurnat based on Disney's House of Mouse TV show.
If you have ever eaten at the Sci-Fi Dine In Theater at Disney/MGM Studios, then you'll have a good idea of what the HoM would be like. It would be located in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area of DCA where Playhouse Disney Live! is (which used to be Soap Opera Bistro). Don't worry PDL fans, the show would be moved to the dormant Hollywood Vine and Dine building.
The outside would look just like the restaurant in the show with a big sign that said Disney's House of Mouse. The inside would also be like the show with a huge screen and tables themed to a swanky club that all faced the screen. Throughout your meal the screen plays various Disney cartoons, and the meals themselves are themed around different characters.
The coolest part is that the restaurant would be rethemed for the holidays. Remember the direct to DVD movie Disney's House of Villains?? Well during Halloweentime at Disneyland Resort, a huge "Villains" sign would be nailed across the "Mouse" sign. Inside, the club would be decorated with halloween decor, and all the cartoons shown would be Halloween-themed.
During the Christmas Holidays, the club would be Christmas themed and have a tree and everything. All the cartoons would also be about Christmas.
So what do you think?

But why can't it be in the MK in Main Street? Becasue Mike says that The House of Mouse is in Main Street.

No problem, a lot of people get confused when they read the Imagineer threads. Some of these projects are down right outstanding!
And welcome to the forums!

That's an awesome idea. It should be a character dining.

I have that restaurant thought for the Disneyland Resort, too, only in my case, it will be included at Disneyland as part of a DRASTICALLY revised and expanded Toontown. It would be the ultimate character dining experience, the only place on property where, no matter what, you can be sure of having characters visit your table. I have arranged for the menu to be similar to that of Planet Hollywood, but updated to suit children, seniors, vegetarians and picky eaters.

It would be kindda cool for a little extra money to actually DINE with a face character. Example: You sit down at your table. Then, a few minutes later, Sleeping Beauty sits down at your table and orders a meal. Then the family get to converse and take pictures with the character for the rest of their meal. also, it would be kindda cool to have Mickey come out and introduce each cartoon. But not the big head Mickey, but a cartoon Mickey which could be projected onto a scrim which is infront of the movie screen. That would be awesome. Finally, you could have penguins serve you the food and have Goofy take your orders (there would of course be a human waiter with him to help him write things down and all. Also, have Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Clarabelle, and Pluto go around like anyother character dining experience.

^ Thats a cool idea but what would you and Cinderella (or whoever comes to your table) talk about for say the 30-40 mins that you eat? It's a cool idea dont get me wrong, I just dont know what they would talk about

I think to keep things moving, so to speak, I say we have characters stay at any one table for no less than two minutes at a time and no more than five.

But how about do a reanactment(bad spelling) of a episode from the House of Mouse?

^that would be kinda cool. Even cooler would be to have cartoon mickey go out on stage to start the cartoons somehow... I was gunna say like on the subs, but that might not would work the right kind of way....

^That's not what I had in mind. I was thinking about using the new technology they had to make their mou ths move and eyes blink.
So, no animation. Only cartoons.

That's a good idea, 2 or 5 minutes at a time. Also, about the reenactments, for the holidays they could have two events a night, kindda like Mickey's Very Merry Chritsmas Party at MK. The entire night would be like a dinner show. Obviously, to keep the guest from ruinning the action, there would be some sort of barrier between where the guests sit and where the action takes place. It wouldn't block anyone's view, but it would be tall enough so noene could climb over it.

That's a good idea! If you've seen Monsters Inc Laugh Floor at MK or even Turtle Talk with Crush at DCA or Epcot, then you'll know what I'm thinking.
Mickey could be animated inside a screen on the stage that makes him appear to talk to the audience without actually being there. They could even make him (or other characters) converse with diners during breaks between the cartoons by answering questions from kids or something like that like in Turtle Talk. A great way to utilize that awesome technology!!

HEY!!! I HAD THAT SAME IDEA!!!!! Except I was thinking that it would be in Downtown Dis. or Main Street(Main street becuase that's where they said HoM was loacted.[Begining of every show:Mike:"Direct from Downtown Main Street, It's Mickey's(or was it Disney's?) House of Mouse!!!!"]) If it would be Downtown Dis., I had once thought that it would also act as a daycare(ok more of a nightcare, I guess) for kids since their parents would want 2 go to a club at Pleasure Island.
