So, has anyone else seen the trailer for this movie? I have to say, I'm actually kind of excited to see this one, because:
A) It looks like Disney isn't afraid to poke a little fun at itself, and
B) New songs by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz!

If you haven't seen the trailer, click here (http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/enchanted/) to see it (Quicktime is needed).

Your opinions/thoughts?

I'm mixed on it...

Partly I want to see it just to throw some support in behind the application of traditional animation. But more than that, this looks like the kind of movie I would otherwise avoid like the plague.

I'll probably just wait for The Princess and the Frog.

^See that's the thing...normally I would. I just hold out hope that the concept plays out well. Because imagining a Disney princess in the real world has some great merit.

Less excited in the Patrick Dempsey angle - maybe I'm wrong, I pray I'm wrong, but it looks like the whole "workaholic single dad realizes he needs time for his daughter" angle that most family movies do. I just hope the rest of the concept plays out well, because I see so much potential.

I've been waiting for this one for months, and I was practically screaming out loud, cheering when I saw the trailer before POTC 3!

Alan Menken + Stephen Schwartz + traditional animation + Julie Andrews + Idina Menzel + teh funny = love!

(A quick IMDB cast check (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0461770/fullcredits) also shows appearances by Judy Kuhn and Paige O'Hara!)

I'm pretty excited about this, Menken and traditional animation are coming back.
The only thing that I heard is that the traditional animation isn't made by Disney. I hope it lives up to the Disney standard, and will hopefully promote some more traditionaly animated films to be made in the coming years.
