View Full Version : Where should I put my Disney resort?

So I've been wondering: where oh where could I put my Disney resort? I've tried some possibilities via threads on this website here. First, I've considered a Disney resort near Berlin, Germany, but it was soon discarded due to its close proximity to France, where as you know is the location of a Disney resort already. The link for that one is right here: http://www.visionsfantastic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15397. Then I've tried Stockholm, Sweden, but it was kinda cold up there. Here's the link for that: http://www.visionsfantastic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16561. I was told that Europe was simply too small a continent to merit a second Disney resort. The France park was having troubles as it was and another Disney park in another European country would not help matters much.

So, I've got to ask, where oh where could I put my Disney resort? One possibility is in South America (possibly either Argentina or, more likely, Brazil). The other candidate for me is Australia. The only problem with that one is an inadequate population.

So where do you think I should put my park? Just so you know, I'm steering clear of North America and Asia (both of which already have TWO resorts each) and the Middle East (not one of the friendliest places to be right this moment). So where should my resort go?

ANTARCTICA!!!!!
ahem...

I would go for Australia. Remember, this isn't actually going to happen, so not everything has to be perfect.

I wonder how far it is from Hong Kong and Japan, though. Also, I've had a South American Disney resort in my list for almost 12 years! Good idea for Australia, though.

Yeah, but it is kinda nearby other countries. Plus, I would like to put it someplace that is a non-English-speaking country. In Argentina, that foreign language is Spanish, while Brazil's is Portuguese.

The smartest thing to do is put it in the more heavily populated area, and Rio Brazil has way more people than Argentina, so there you go.

Alright, Brazil it is. I've kinda had a resort for that country in development for a long time anyway. But I still have one problem: what of the Amazon rainforest? I don't want the resort to be built at the expense of a rainforest. What about that?

I don't think Rio is completly surrounded with rainforest, is it? If you have to chop down trees, at least use the lumber you chop down and make an Animal Kingdom or something.

Oh crap! Now I'm starting to sound like Al Gore.

Seriously, though, I don't want to have to worry about the rainforest. It's declining as it is. Maybe Rio isn't surrounded by rainforest, but that doesn't mean there is much open land to put the park in.

Maybe you could start a park in S.A., and be VERY eco friendly, like planting a whole buncha trees and making animal habitats.
Yeah, I sound like Gore, but I would like to keep the enviorment!

GO RECYCLE NOW!

Are you saying that only in English-speaking countries would a Disney park work?

You never did answer that question.

My backyard!

I said it before, but I'll say it again: I'm steering clear of North America and Asia (both of which already have TWO resorts each) and the Middle East (not one of the friendliest places to be right this moment).

what do you mean by placing your disney resort? Are you designing one on your computer and you are thinking of a location for it? I don't quite get it.

Well for whatever purpose this is for, I'll give you my advice for a Disney Resort to be located outside the U.S. First off, I find it offensive and ignorant that you would write off the middle east because of a naive prejudice that it is "not one of the friendliest places to be right this moment." First off, there are no evil countries, only evil people. And you seem to be letting marginalized radical Islamic groups distort your perception of the Middle East. Most people in the Middle East may not have the same religion as you or me, but they are not "unfriendly." Terrorists and radical "unfriendly" people probably make up less than half of 1% of the Middle Eastern Population. This is besides the point however, because countries like Israel, Jordan, Turkey, and Dubai have stable economies, and good relations with the US. In fact, Dubai is probably seeing exponential construction at an insane rate and it is one of the fastest growing tourist destinations for Europeans.

It is also silly to assume that 2 resorts are enough for Asia. First off, the US has a population of 300,000,000 and has two resorts. China and India combined have a population of close to 2.5 billion. Trust me, there is enough demand in Asia for another resort. Weigh your options my friend, even though I don't quite know what this whole project is about anyway :)

If I were you, I would put a Disney resort in Australia, or a country like India, or Thailand.

Disneyland India sounds pretty cool, doesn't it?
