This thread actually has been spun off from a similar thread: http://www.visionsfantastic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15397.
I've been thinking about European Disney parks and that the continents the resorts are in have more than one Disney resort (save for Europe). I felt that if Asia can have more than one Disney park, so can Europe. Anywho, in the case of a second European Disney resort, I was thinking of a first for Scandinavia, somewhere near Stockholm in Sweden and call the resort Disneyland Resort Stockholm, the park being Disneyland Stockholm. Originally, I was planning on putting the second European Disney resort near Berlin, Germany, but I was forced to withdraw when I was told on the forums that it was a bit close to Paris, France. Anyway, look for more to come soon.
Oh, and please don't flame me if you do happen to respond.

ahh...I remember Disneyland Meets Deutchland. lol
I like this idea. They cold have some kind of ride similar to the Matterhorn (they could have the Matterhorn if this were in Switzerland) but, it could be named after some swedish mountain.
These ideas are really making me want to go to Europe.

Well, you can still go to Europe and see Disneyland Paris. Anyway, I think things should go a little more smoothly now.

I don't really know what Sweden is famous for, so I may not be able to help out on this one as much.

Here, maybe this can help you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden.

I've been thinking that some of the main reasons why the France resort didn't exactly turn out as successful as hoped. One of the reasons why it didn't pan out was that Disney sacrificed the culture. They spent too much money on the hotels alone. And they gave the park too many attractions on opening day. Now Hong Kong has too few attractions. So I was considering having the Swedish park (attraction-wise) being a cross between France and Hong Kong. This means that the Swedish park won't feature as many rides on opening day as France, but will certainly feature a lot more than Hong Kong.
Without further ado, presenting the lands:
Main Street U.S.A.
Frontierland
Adventureland
Fantasyland
Toontown
Discoveryland
More to come... ;)

I don't understand how Frontierland would work. It is very american. Maybe some kind of land with a sweden culture? like...swissland? idk...lol

Well, it worked in Tokyo (with a Western wilderness theme and renamed Westernland) and in Paris (with a Gold Rush theme). So why couldn't it work here? If all else fails, we could always rename it. Like, say, Westernland, like in Tokyo.

^ yeah...I just would find it funny when it is all western looking and then they have a blizzard. but I guess that could happen in Paris.

Well...umm...that's a...ouch.
Sorry, I just don't see it happening. It's not that good of an idea, no offence.

None taken, but I don't seem to have too many other options. Besides, I haven't even put up the attractions. Maybe if I got time, I can even indulge in a little backstory for each area, kinda like the other parks have done. Besides, wouldn't it be fun to put a Disney resort somewhere in Scandinavia? If you could do that, where would you put it? Denmark? Finland?
Besides, I've seen a LOT of Disney park ideas here and there being supposedly put in the UK. So I figured I'd do something like that, only in a different European country, due to Britain's proximity to France.
Furthermore, I REALLY wanted to put a second Disney park in Europe, since the United States and Asia now have two parks each and only one graces Europe. My only other alternatives were either Australia or South America, possibly Brazil.

And, obviously, this isn't actually going to happen, so there can be a little fantasy and thinks that may not work out.

Exactly. There's nothing wrong with fantasizing, is there? That's why a lot of people put their park ideas in the countries they like, especially the UK. Why do they prefer the UK, anyway?
Anyway, I'll put up the attractions lists VERY soon.

Here are the attractions of Main Street U.S.A. (themed to resemble Florida's Main Street, just as Hong Kong's Main Street resembles Disneyland's)...
Disneyland Railroad: Take a trip around Disneyland Stockholm, with stops at Main Street U.S.A., Frontierland and Toontown. Boooard! The station will bear a striking resemblance to the one in Florida.
Disney Gallery: A showplace for the artwork, models, and ideas that have helped create Disney movies, theme parks and attractions throughout Disney's 80+ years of existence. Now showing, "Disney's Magic Kingdoms of the World".
Main Street Vehicles: Here, the vehicles are Fire Truck, Horse-Drawn Trolley, Paddy Wagon and Omnibus.
Phantom Manor: Set cautious foot inside this haunted mansion and unravel the mystery of the bride who waited for her groom in vain. The spooky walls and pictures tell their own grisly tale. But be aware that there are 999 ghosts and apparitions residing in this estate - be careful that you don't become 1,000! High "spirited" fun.
Also any ideas and such would be great as I'll make this into a fictional guide to Disneyland Stockholm.

I also meant to say that one Disney Resort in Europe is enough. Europe is just too small of a continent to put in a 2nd resort. Asia, I understand, same with America, but another one in Europe will just take even more from DLRP's already low attendance, and imagine how big of a blow that would be.

Yeah, I guess I know what you mean. How about putting a park in either Australia or South America (I'm thinking Brazil)? I just want to see ANOTHER Disney park being put SOMEWHERE, but NOT Asia.

Remember....Disney is not actually putting another park in Europe, so this idea is fine. Sure, Disney would probly not consider Dtockholm as a new theme park spot, but this is or fun.

No, I want it someplace NOT in Asia or the Middle East. Good idea, though. Anyway, like Kiliei said, these park idea threads are all in fun and that's what counts. Anyway, I'll put up the restaurant list for Main Street at a later date.
BTW, just so you know, I'm not gonna do the shops for the park (too many ideas), just the attractions, eateries and live entertainment.

Maybe there could be an Ice skating rink. I have no idea how warm it gets during the summer.
I would guess this is a seasonal park?

If it were a seasonal park, then Disneyland Paris would have to be seasonal, too, which it's not.

Since I don't really know too much about stores and what should go in them, I'll skip that section and focus only on attractions, eateries and live entertainment. Anyway, here are the eateries for Main Street:
****Table
***Buffet
**Counter
*Quickie
Plaza Restaurant ****: Upscale food (and prices) here. This restaurant features something new for those only familiar with American theme parks: namely, Swedish delicacies, local dishes and a set of Western food, all available right here.
The Crystal Palace ***: An exact duplicate of the elegant restaurant found in both Florida and Japan. Much of the menu items should satisfy most people's palettes. Menu items include pot roast, stewed vegetables, seafood, and more. A variety of soups, salads, beverages and desserts can also be found here. Character dining is available.
Center Street Delicatessan **: In true deli style, you can find a variety of sandwiches and salads here.
Main Street Corner Cafe **: Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it will offer Swedish-style coffee house classics, like cakes, waffles, eggs, noodles, sausages and tea.
Market House Bakery *: It's quite difficult to resist the wonderful aroma from inside as it is pumped out into the streets. Inside, you can sample a vast variety of bakery goods, like cakes, cookies and pastries.
Ice Cream Delights *: As the name implies, you can find ice cream here, in cups, bars and of course, cones! You can also get sherbet and a variety of hot and cold beverages.
Station Break *: Located underneath the train station, you can find a slew of small treats, like coffee, cookies, cakes and tea.
Main Street Cookies and Coffee Company *: Here you can find a wide arrange of coffee and cookies, plus a variety of other treats.
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor *: A second ice cream spot, but this one has seating, both indoors and out. And if you sit outdoors, you can get a nice view of Askungen Kastell.
What do you guys think so far? Next time, it's off to the happiest kingdom of them all. Stay tuned!
