Disney-MGM studios keep Jedi Academy
Jedi Academy to stick around (http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/business_tourism_aviation/2007/07/jedi-academy-to.html)

One of the most popular features of Disney-MGM Studios Star Wars Weekends will become a permanent show this fall when Walt Disney World completes construction of the new stage for the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy. The Jedi Stage will cover a large patio area outside the Star Tours attraction at Disney-MGM. The facility also will include a tech booth and a permanent backdrop.
Disney officials would not say whether the construction would force removal of the Ewok forest or AT-AT Walker structures. However, paperwork Walt Disney World filed with the Orange County Comptroller's Office show the stage and booth covering an area about 140 feet long and 96 feet wide -- about the same as two NBA basketball corts set side-by-side. There's doesn't appear to be that much free space available outside the Star Tours ride unless the structures are removed.
In the Jedi Training Academy shows, popular events of the park?s Star Wars Weekends in June, costumed Jedi masters select children for training with light sabers, and other Jedi skills from the movie series. Other costumed characters portraying Darth Vader and storm troopers later join in.
Disney spokewsoman Zoraya Suarez said the academy should have up to eight shows a day, each with a dozen or more children, starting this fall. "They loved it, so we?ll build it," she said.
