Hey guys, I created this thread because I convinced my mom to let me and two other friends go on a 3 night trip to Disney World on our own. I am totally psyched. I bought the 3 day park ticket with parkhopper option and am staying at the pop century so I'm pretty excited. I have a couple questions though.

Firstly, are there any restauraunts worth making dining reservations at anywhere ahead of time and if so which ones?

Secondly, I don't quite understand the extra magic hours option. I know it allows you to get to the park earlier or stay later than most guests but there is something I don't understand. For example, on the disneyworld.com website calender, if MGM (hypothetically) on July 10th says 9-9 (extra magic hours), and it means nightime, does that mean that I can stay past 9, or untill 9? I just don't understand how it works. Another example would be Magic Kingdom 9-11 (extra magic hours). Does this mean if intended for early hours that I could go before 9??

Make priority seating at Ohana, whenever you can, even if it's at 9pm or so. You will NOT regret that place!

As for EMH...its a perk for on-property guests. So using your MGM example, when the park closes there'll be wristband stations set up where you can show proof of your staying on-property and you'll receive a wristband that'll enable you to stay in the park for a couple hours after the 9pm closing. If the EMH is in the morning, then you'll have to show proof of on-prop stay at the entrance gates.

Have fun!

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and Cinderella's Royal Table have awesome food. Unfortunately, they are both are hard to get reservations, especially Cinderella's Royal Table. It is totally worth it though.

Buy the Disney Dining Plan. You'll save a ton of money and the food is great.

Getting the wristband can be a pain if the line is long but it's worht it to stay a few more hours.

Have a ton of fun in Walt Disney World!

^ Eh, the only way the Disney Dining Plan saves is if you were already planning on buying that same amount and type of food. Otherwise, better to just go on your own.

Now if the Dining Plan was free with your stay, as has been during certain periods in the past, then certainly go with it. Free food.

My view point is that the Dining Plan is a good way to try a bunch of different stuff. For me personally, the Dining Plan was worth it.

gotta say its all about how much you want to spend and what you like..alot of the good restaurants in Epcot are a bit on the expensive side..I personally Le Cellier and San Angel Inn for dinner.. at MGM Mama Melroses has great italian but you can get italian anywhere. I like the Brown Derby cobb salad for hot days or the 50's Prime Time is fun if you can get a castmember who is really "into it" ..My fave resort is the Wildreness Lodge so I almost always eat at Artists Point but that can be expensive. There are great places in each park and at the better resorts, so grab a guide and check out what each has to offer
