:disneyland: 'sStar Tours will be receiving a refurb late this year or next year. It will feature actors from the Star Wars saga, and will probably be getting some new flights. THIS IS SO COOL!

I heard it on the Magical Definition Podcast. They said someone from the Star Wars movies was doing voice overs for the refurb.

I am all for the new flights. As long as it has nothing to do with the new Star Wars Trilogy. Stick with the original Trilogy.

Guys, it's not proof just because its said in a podcast or on somebody's website. Until there is some OFFICIAL announcement (like a Press Release, etc) its still considered Rumor.
From the information I have, Anthony Daniels said some comments at the latest Star Wars convention. Even if we have proof he did say those comments, it really shouldn't be taken as a 'source'.

No, I already knew about that website, I mean I want to see the part of the website where he talks about Star Tours.

I am kinda sad about that, I love how Star Tours is now. Unless they add Young Luke Skywalker, well my opinions might change! He is very good looking and if he is added maybe I might rethink about it whole change situation!

I think Star Tours has become dated and drab over the years. My grandmother isnt even thrilled by it.
I hope a new Star Tours would be much more thrilling.

Adventure Thru Innerspace was 18 years old when it was retired. Star Tours is now 20. So in a sad sense, Star Tours has run its course. I wouldn't mind if Anthony Daniels returned for C-3PO.
The Laughing Place has a piece on the Star Tours refurb, although they don't name any sources.

I guess my big thing is that since its inception the technology has come a long way, so if nothing else a fresh coat of paint, maybe some 3D effect if you arent going to change it drastically, otherwise I personally would not be upset if it went into a new direction or included the entire saga. As much as I love the originals Lucas did an amazing job coming full circle with the entire saga and it would be a shame to not encompass the whole thing. Plus it would be a great jumping off point for the 2 new series coming out. Only request is NO Jar Jar..LOL
