All companies use smells, colors, wording and I am sure many other methods of triggering your sub-conscience. Smells trigger hunger, colors can effect your mood and also make you remember things about a poster, picture, sign and even buildings or what not. It's called marketing LOL. Disney is very effective at this. Also how things are presented visually can make you remember something about it. They do this in product commercials all the time. Or even show you something out of the ordinary not even related to the product but was so funny it makes you remember it, example being commercials during Super Bowl Halftime. I think you are thinking more of subliminal messeging like in the tales of old rock music on vinyl where it's played backwords and stuff. You can find that in anything played backwords cause it is your brain trying to find similar sounds to words you know. Kinda like looking at the clouds and seeing shapes like a tree or ship. It's all mental. LOL.

Kind of like how each ride has an individual, indescribable smell that reminds you of the ride everytime you smell it.

I am sure it's not intentional, like Pirate's or Indy. It's only because you normally don't smell that in your daily life or routine. Not that you can't or won't. It's just when you work in an office, theatre, restaurant and many other places.... You won't generally smell that. Also because the rides are indoors trapping a lot of that smell as well. It is really easy to trick your own mind as well as others'. Like I said, if you think about it and look for hidden things your bound to find something you think is there when in fact it isn't. Why? Because your mind is trying to find something familiar it knows or thinks it knows.
And I love it mrskellington LOL. Pirate's=Musty and Indy=Tempely. LOL Nice.

So if my car has a unique smell, does that mean Disney put a subliminal message there?

I'm pretty sure that Disney is not going to use subliminal messages because they don't need to. We already spend outragous prices for Disney merchandise and food in the parks. Yet we always come back for more because we can't get enough of Disneyland.
This is assuming, of course, that they didn't use subliminal messages to get us to that point in the first place. I love a good conspiracy theory but this one doesn't hold up that well. I'd rather believe that McDonalds lace their food with addictive chemicals to keep people coming back. But ultimately, you can't blame other people for your weight or lack of self-control. What I'm saying is we go DL because it makes us feel good, just like a Big Mac feels good to eat.

Very true.... But Disney might not be the culprit of food additives. Lots of food just by nature has addictive qualities and corporations play on that. As well as corporations adding food additives. Subliminal? Maybe. Playing on people's senses for profit? Yes. LOL I don't really think it's subliminal.
