The DisneylandResort in California recently unveiled its latest window pane honoring Disney Legend and former Imagineer Roger Broggie. The window reads, "Roger Broggie, Shopmaster, Advisor to Magic Makers."

Roger was widely recognized as an Imagineering genius, building everything from steam trains to Audio-Animatronics? figures. Starting his Disney career as a machinist in 1939, Roger installed the animation studio's storied multiplane camera, helped build Walt Disney's backyard railroad (part of which is on display in The Iron Spike Room at The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge), created special effects for such films as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and produced iconic Theme Park attractions ranging from the Disneyland Monorail to the Matterhorn Bobsleds.

I love how Disneyland has windows that are a tribute to so many that have made a contribution to Disneyland. I am sure Michael Broggie was happy to see his Dad Rodger Broggie rememberd in this way. From outside the Magic Shop look up you can see this window was placed on the right hand side.

I've met his son Michael Broggie at Walt's Barn and conversed through e-mails a few times. Michael is super nice, so I'm sure his father is the same way and so deserves this honor of a window on DL's Main Street!
