STAR WARS-the Epic Musical Event

Ok, now I've gone really mad haven't i? Not really, I was just inspired after watchng all the movies in the series last sunday. Unlike Lord of the rings, it doesn't tell the storythe way the books have it. This epic will have several flashbacks into the life of Anakin Skywalker as well as a newly constructed storyline. Many of the main characters, with the sad exception of Chewbaca, will be in the musical, i mean epic musical. yeah. Anywho, the story mainly follows Luke's journey from simple farmboy to jedi. he will also discover his father's past through a flashback and a dream sequence! Ofcourse Han falls inlove with Leia, who will be a little more like Padme; however, they are wed at the end, leaving Luke to watch them, slighly jealous. He is calmed by the ghoss of the past jedi andcreatures who were killed in the name of the empire. Other effects include a large Death Star set, which will have more cables, more levers & such during the second act, when the second deah star is completed; a full R2D2 which will be controlled like a radio controlled car; and a large Millenium Falcon, which WILL fly (possibly over the audience)

well, the music would be put in tastefully. Darth vader probably won't sing and there won't be any big dance numbers, aside from little bits and pieces here and there. Yoda would sing while traning Luke in the force, but it would fit in nicely.

Uh...no offense, but I think it's the weirdest idea ever. i mean, did you hear the news from Broadway? Some people say that they're going to make a musical version of Spiderman. Yikes!

Yep and Bono and The Edge from U2 are suppose to be doing the music.

I don't mind a SW musical but it brings to mind thoughts off Luke Singing on that episode of the Simpsons
