Here is the second in the series of "improving Disney parks" threads, this time focusing on the Walt Disney World Resort! Here again, if you have your own ideas to improve the parks, feel free to add to 'em!
Here are my updates (the first post will focus only on the Magic Kingdom):
MAGIC KINGDOM
MAIN STREET U.S.A.
1. Arcades: I will add these arcades to the right and left sections of Main Street, to free up foot traffic up and down the land, and create some relief from the heat, rain and humidity to boot.
2. An Adventure In the Magic Kingdom: This is a new theater show at the Town Square Exposition Hall. It will be a veritable montage of clips of all Disney parks worldwide, with Tinker Bell as your hostess!
FANTASYLAND
First and foremost, the entire land will receive an overhaul the likes of which will be akin to the one at Disneyland in 1983 (click here to view the thread for everything: http://www.visionsfantastic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14292).
1. Mad Tea Party: Just as Tokyo Disneyland's teacups had been redone to echo Disneyland Paris' look (and also HKDL's look), Florida's teacups will be redesigned so that they echo Disneyland's design. At the same time, the canopy roof will be redesigned from a simple medieval tent to a glass one, like the one in France, only here each pane will be a different color, like stained glass. And the teapot in the middle of the spinning will again return to its roots as a simple yellow color with red designs (here's a picture of the ride from '79; just look hard: http://www.disneypix.com/MagicKingdom/Fantasyland/1979/FL0879-01.htm.)
2. The Adventures of Pinocchio: The first of two new dark ride experiences. See this thread here (http://www.visionsfantastic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15232) to view the details of the ride and a verbal tour. It's basically a more elaborate version of the Pinocchio ride at Disneyland.
3. It's a Small World: A new scene, towards the end of the ride, will be added, themed to the United States, a la Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland. Also, during the Christmas season, it will become a Christmas version called "It's a Small World Very Merry Holidays". Also, classic Disney characters will also be added to their respective scenes (i.e., Peter Pan in England, Mulan in China, etc.; Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto in particular will all be at the end of the ride).
4. Voyages of the Little Mermaid: The second of the two new dark rides to be added. At long last, a dark ride based on The Little Mermaid finally comes to life! It will look exactly like the ride seen on the PE DVD. This will necessiate the closing of the TLM puppet show at the Studios. It's the same ride as the virtual ride seen on the TLM DVD.
5. Mickey's PhilharMagic: The exterior will be redesigned to echo Hong Kong Disneyland's look, albeit slightly smaller. Inside, a brand-new sequence will be added to the show: the "Pink Elephants" scene from Dumbo, situated between the Lion King and Peter Pan scenes. The elephants in the TLK scene could turn pink and thus usher in the Dumbo scene and then the elephants turn into clouds and thus segue smoothly into the Peter Pan scene.
6. The Hunny Tree: FYL's FOURTH spinner (after the teacups, Dumbo and the carrousel), this swing ride has guests sitting in seats that look like balloons as they swing around the giant honey tree of "Winnie the Pooh" fame.
7. Alice's Curious Labyrinth: From DLP comes the Alice-themed maze, situated near the Mad Tea Party. However, in addition to the Queen of Heart's castle being accessible, this area will also serve as THE character meet-n-greet for the Alice characters.
ADVENTURELAND
1. Tarzan's Treehouse: The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse will be revised as a home themed to the King of the Jungle himself!
2. Jungle Tours: On this all-new attraction, choose your vehicle as the Jungle Cruise boats are invaded by an edgier, rival jeep safari on this interactive, hilarious, dueling tour of the jungles of the world. This attraction is actually two attractions in one. They are "rival" jungle tours. What happens exactly is, you choose between these two ways to tour the jungles (either by boat (Jungle River Cruise) or by jeep a la Kilimanjaro Safaris (Jungle Road Trek)), but the drivers are two bitter siblings who can't stand each other and, along the entire tour, tease and call each other names (which makes it even more interactive because guests can join in on the name-calling and teasing). Unfortunately, things aren't all that peaceful in the jungle, either, when the boat group gets trapped inside an ancient temple and witness a bunch of thieves pillaging the temple. The jeep group, meanwhile, witness an entire section of the jungle burned down. They then hear the skipper from the boat radio in for help, the jeep then goes to his/her brother's/sister's rescue and end up saving the entire jungle in the process. Plus, the siblings will have settled their differences by this time as well.
3. Enchanted Tiki Room: I will definitely do something right here: Iago and Zazu will get the old heave-ho and the entire original 1963 show will return. The pre-show area replaces William and Morris with two new birds, an orange one and a blue one. The orange one is named Clyde and he's speak with a Southern accent while his blue partner is named Claude and speaks with a British accent.
FRONTIERLAND
1. Mike Fink Keelboats: That's right! The keelboats are back!
2. Country Bear Jamboree: The show will take a cue from the one in Tokyo: all three versions of the show will be shown all year round. The Vacation Hoedown version will play during the summer season (from Memorial Day to Labor Day); the Christmas show will be shown during the Christmas season (from mid-November to early January) and the original show will be shown the rest of the year.
3. Splash Mountain: The Laughing Place scene, to fit it in more with Frontierland, will have more an old abandoned mine feeling to it, complete with gems stuck in the cave walls and a piece of broken track with a mine cart on it with some critters on it. And oh yeah, the Brer Rabbit hopping effect is working again, better than ever now!
LIBERTY SQUARE
1. Haunted Mansion: During the Halloween and Christmas seasons, the Haunted Mansion will be revised to the "Haunted Mansion Very Scary Holidays", themed to what else but The Nightmare Before Christmas.
MICKEY AND DONALD'S TOONTOWN
The entire land of Mickey's Toontown Fair will be updated and expanded and will go by a new name, too (see above). More on that later.;)
TOMORROWLAND
1. Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress: This classic would not go anywhere! It would, however, get an extensive touch-up, a brand-new script and an update to the final Christmas scene.
2. Meet the Robinsons: A Time-Travel Adventure: This major dark ride will go where the Skyway station and the Tomorrowland Speedway are right now. It's a major dark ride themed to Meet the Robinsons.
3. Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin: It will be renamed to Buzz Lightyear's Laser Blast.
4. Stitch Encounter: No more Stitch's Great Escape! This interactive show fresh from Hong Kong Disneyland is now at WDW!
5. Space Mountain: This ride will receive a much-needed and much-deserved overhaul. More on that later... ;)
I will go into greater detail on the attraction improvements at a later date. What are all y'all's opinions?

This sounds really cool! Perhaps bring back the MSEP like you did for "How would you improve DL"?

Oh, I'll bring the Electrical Parade back all right, only a lot more improved and more dazzling than ever (think Tokyo's Electrical Parade). But first, I'm going to write the overviews of how I would improve the other three WDW parks, starting with one of all-time my favorites, Epcot.

And now without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I give you...
EPCOT CENTER
FUTURE WORLD
1. Spaceship Earth: This attraction will receive some TLC, not only to update the ride, but also to tie it in with its newest sponsor, Siemens AG. There will be a new scene towards the end, regarding the Internet and cell phones. One of the things you will notice is gone is Mickey's wand above the structure. That's right, the wand is getting the old heave-ho! Another thing revised will be the script, which will replace Jeremy Irons as narrator with Morgan Freeman. And oh, yes, "Tomorrow's Child" will again be performed!
2. Soarin': This will be a new movie, based not on a flight over California but one over Florida. It will be similar to California in terms of a themed flight. Locales to be featured include: Miami, the Everglades, Palm Beach, the Gulf of Mexico, Daytona U.S.A., the Kennedy Space Center (where you witness a space shuttle taking off), the Florida Keys and, of course, Walt Disney World.
3. The Changing Skies: This is a brand new pavilion themed to the sky and different types of weather. It will be situated between IMAGINATION! and The Land. The featured attractions are as follows:
--StormRider: This ride is identical to the ride at Tokyo DisneySea in Japan. Here, the Center for Weather Control has recently developed a "Storm Diffusion Device", a new apparatus that is detonated in the center of powerful storms and dissipates their energy. As there happens to be a mammoth hurricane approaching Future World at the moment, guests at the CWC are invited to board one of the Center's flying weather laboratories and observe a mission to test one of the new "Fuses" by delivering it right to the center of the storm!
--Weatherific: A mad scientist, his new invention, bolts of lightning, ominous clouds and sheets of rain... the set of a new horror flick? No! It's just the set-up for the hilarious Weatherific! special effects show! Join Professor Sirius and his crazy assistant, Ray, as they display the many different faces of Mother Nature in this hilarious show.
--WeatherWorks: As close as you'll ever get to actually riding a cloud! These interactive labs serve as the core educational resource for our EPCOT Center pavilion. Stimulating, mind-boggling, and a heck of a lot of fun all at the same time!
4. IMAGINATION!: All of the attractions here are going to be redone to remove as many references to the Imagination Institute as possible. We all know the new attractions are dumb. Instead, we'll have Figment and Dreamfinder back. The only reference to the Institute would be the old logo sign out front, but this time, there?d be a sloppily-painted sign tacked onto the bottom of the Institute sign saying, "Under New Management", with a statue of Figment nearby hold a can of paint and a brush. More on that later.
5. World of Motion: That's right, this old ride is coming out of retirement! It will be added to the building housing Test Track. Explore the history of transportation from the time of Neanderthals right up to the future. Then discover the latest advancements in the technology of transportation as you go inside the inner workings of GM 2082.
WORLD SHOWCASE
1. Tapestry of Nations: This impressive new thesis attraction for World Showcase will incorporate the same technology as Timekeeper with the use of Circle-Vision, audio-animatronics and spectacular music and storytelling.
2. Hong Kong Disneyland Gallery: Located at the China pavilion, this gallery provides a look at the Disney park in Hong Kong with pictures, scale models of attractions, maps and a multimedia video. This is a renamed version of the HKDL Preview Center but with "Gallery" in place of "Preview Center".
3. Russia: A brand-new pavilion located between China and Germany, themed to Russia. It can actually be a good smooth transition between the two pavilions. One of the attractions here is Reflections of Russia, A new Circle-Vision film in the new pavilion. This film explores all the beautiful sights of Russia from Moscow to Siberia and some of its arts, cultures and traditions.
4. Rhine River Rapids: Located at the Germany pavilion, you board a raft that seats 12 passengers for a wet 'n' wild ride down the waters of the Rhine and through the spooky Black Forest, even over the precipice of a rushing waterfall! Get set to get wet!
5. Impressioni dell'Italia: Located at the Italy pavilion, this is a stunning five-screen panoramic film (a la France's Impressions de France) about the magnificent country of Italy, featuring a visit to Assisi, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, a romantic boat ride in a gondola down a canal in Venice, the Vatican City, ski slopes over the peaks of some rugged snow-capped mountains in the Italian Alps and, of course, a visit to Rome featuring the mighty Coliseum and the Trevvi(sp?) fountain.
6. Disneyland Gallery: Located at the American Adventure, this gallery explores the original Disneyland, the kingdom that Walt built. Featuring concept art, scale models, posters, maps and a historical multimedia video about the history of Disneyland from 1955 right up to the present day. Also features Disney's California Adventure.
7. Mt. Fuji Bullet Trains: Located at the Japan pavilion, this roller coaster will take guests on a fast and furious ride around and through Mount Fuji aboard miniature bullet trains featuring close encounters with the vicious Akuma monster and a splashdown in a misty Japanese pond.
8. Tokyo Disneyland Gallery: Similar to the Disneyland Gallery, but themed to the Japanese Disney resort. Here again, it features concept art, scale models, posters, maps and a historical multimedia video about the history of Tokyo Disneyland from 1983 right up to the present day. Also features Tokyo DisneySea.
9. Disneyland Paris Gallery: Once again, much like the Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland Galleries, it features concept art, scale models, posters, maps and a historical multimedia video about the history of Disneyland Paris from 1992 right up to the present day. Also features Walt Disney Studios Paris.
And those are all the Epcot improvements, not counting the shows. What did you think?

It would be great to have Dreamfinder back! Disney is actually considering bringing back the original JII. We just have to keep our eyes and ears peeled. Oh and by the way, what about Honey I Shrunk the Audience? Are you keeping it or is there going to be a new show?

HISTA and all other references to the Imagination Institute will be gone, replaced by Figment and Dreamfinder. Wait till you see what I've thought up. You know, you can add your own ideas to WDW if you want. I don't want to hog the thread for myself.

Perhaps for the Imagination pavilion to replace HISTA, perhaps you can make a new 3-D show starring Figment and Dreamfinder.

For Soarin', I would make the new film either have you fly over the United States, showing the various regions of the country, or possibly the world. Having it be a film where you fly over the world can create more of a connection between Future World and World Showcase. But I can also see the other side of this argument, where you would want to keep the two parts of the park seperate.
Either way, you can still have it end at Walt Disney World. It could end at either Magic Kingdom or Epcot including fly-overs of the other three theme parks at the resort.

That's right. My current plan for Soarin' is for it to end at the Magic Kingdom, just as CA Adventure's Soarin' ends at Disneyland.

Can I add a few Ideas:
1). For Epcot, how about not wasting any money to build another pavilion, but to change the abandoned. That's right, Wonders of Life would be changed to the Wonders of Matter, a new immersive pavilion in the same, but newly redisigned Wonders of Life building. This would include an all new play area and lab that would include telescopes that can actually let you see atoms at first hand. This pavilion would also include a modernized interactive version of the Hall of Chemistry, and a new omnimover ride that would be risen back to life. Yes, that's right, Adventures Thru Inner Space would be coming to Epcot in a new, modernized form, and it would be the main attraction in this newly re-vamped pavilion.
2). For the Magic Kingdom, how about if Mickeys Toontown Fair would become something different entirly. Yes, it would be sad for it to go, but it would be moved over near Pooh's Playground as a small section of Fantasyland, so people can still meet Minnie and Mickey.
http://www.jimhillmedia.com/mb/images/upload/discovery-bay-model-whole.jpg
What do I propose? What if what is now Mickeys Toontown Fair transformed into Discovery Bay. This new land would have a Mysterious Island type Jules Verne theme. The tents would be removed to make new Jules Verne themed buildings, but the train station and the Barnstormer would just be rethemed with the new land. Plus, in the area of what was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea will be a new E-Ticket ride. This ride would be the Voyage Through Time. In this new E-Ticket dark ride, guests would enter "Time Cars" powered by Captain Nemo's mad scientists. This ride would take guests on a thrilling experience back through time, from the Dawn of Man all the way to The Big Bang. A new 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea walk-through attraction would also be in this land.
I have some more ideas which I will post later.

That's great! In addition to "wasting" money to build new pavilions, I am restoring old attractions to the Imagination pavilion. A new version of JII will be in the wings. Even a new version of Magic Journeys will be back. And the Test Track pavilion will triple in size to include a new version of the old attraction, World of Motion. I think I will call the new pavilion the Transportarium.

I'm way ahead of you on the drastic remodel of Toontown, but I'm going to keep the Toontown theme. But just wait till you see what I've thought. Not that I don't like your ideas for Discovery Bay any. What if we somehow expanded Tomorrowland beyond the train tracks to include some of these rides and maybe include some non-cartoon-y stuff for a change? If we have to, we can completely remove the road running past this part of the park or detour it or even run it under the park. Or, perish the thought, we could remove a few parts of Discovery Bay to make it run.

^ That could work, but what if we did this:
How about if Discovery Bay still stays where it is, since unlike Toontown Fair which it's theming only blends to Fantasyland, Discovery Bay blends to both Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. But since we both want Toontown to be a part of MK, what if a new Toontown was built near IASW and in the small parking lot and land behind Fantasyland. That way, both Toontown and Discovery Bay can be full sized lands, and Toontown would be able to be rebuilt easily with your re-vamp idea.
BTW, That's a great idea you got for the World of Motion and Test Track. It could really work!

Unfortunately, some of the spots in Fantasyland, like behind IASW and the parking lot, are going to be used for my ideas for that area of the park. However, I know where we can put Discovery Bay, and that is in a corner tucked between Main Street and Tomorrowland. Here's a photo for a rough idea of where DB can go: http://www.disneypix.com/2000ft/Roll3/Roll03_014.htm.

Exactly. That's exactly where I'm thinking of putting Discovery Bay. Maybe we could also drift a little of the area into where the gate to the amphitheater is now. Of course, if we were to drop the Discovery Bay name, but keep the attractions, then we would have instantly created several new Tomorrowland rides, none of which are based on Pixar for once! Take that, Pixar!
Anyway, next time, look for the Studios list improvements.

Here are the improvements to the Studios. Seeing as how the name of the park is in limbo, why not just call it the Walt Disney Studios Florida. Some outside resources, like the WDW Explorer software, already call it the Disney Studios Florida, so why not just call that (but with "Walt") and have done with it?
WALT DISNEY STUDIOS FLORIDA
1. The Great Movie Ride: This ride will be renovated significantly. More on that later.
2. Star Tours: With all the rumors of the Endor trip being replaced by other planets, I've been thinking of how to do this win-win style. I like the idea of keeping things fresh here, but I was thinking that with six simulators here, why not have six different trips at once, one trip per simulator, with a trip to a different planet on each one? This way, the situation is win-win. The beauty of this update is that whenever you are about to go to a simulator, you may have a different one, meaning that you never know which simulator you're going to ride (unless you've been on them all thousands of times).
3. Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Fire Snake: Replacing the Indy Stunt Show, this new thrill ride is more or less the same as the other Indiana Jones rides in Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. Follow in the footsteps of the legendary Dr. Indiana Jones in a treacherous, life-or-death expedition for the legendary Observatory of the Future. But beware; the Observatory is supposedly guarded by a ruthless, paranormal spirit known as the Fire Snake!
4. The Great Muppet Movie Ride: Yes, at long last, the Muppet-based parody of the Great Movie Ride is finally coming into being! The movies parodied, according to an article by Jim Hill, will include, but are definitely not limited to:
Frankenstein (1931): With Kermit and Miss Piggy as the heroes, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew as the mad scientist and Beaker as the giant monster.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979): A movie version of the "Pigs In Space" skit. The movie here is called "Swine Trek". Here, the crew of the USS Swinetrek is battling space pirates (or rather, "space pi-rats").
Peter Pan (1953): With Kermit as Pan, Janice (of the Muppets' house band, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem) as Wendy, Scooter as John, Fozzie as Michael and last but not least, Piggy as Tinkerbell.
There are all kind of punny touches every which way you look, plus a running gag in the form of Waldorf and Statler riding around in a golf cart. This will be a great ride for all.
5. Toon Studios: This is a brand-new section of the park based on the one under construction in France. This area will encompass The Magic of Disney Animation and will feature a few new attractions as well:
--Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin: This ride comes to Florida at last! Replaces Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
--Crush's Turtle Twister: This ride also comes to Florida fresh from France
--The Incredibles: Escape Nomanisan!: A brand-new dark ride experience, where you meet Mr. Incredible and his family and try to help them in the battle to do two things: escape from the titular island and save the world from the threat of the villainous Syndrome!
--Donald's Toontown Tours: This ride is based on the old "runaway bus through Toontown" ride concept. It will come into being not with Roger Rabbit, but with Donald Duck, as your host. Replaces Playhouse Disney Live.
Those are the improvements in a nutshell. Can anyone think of anything else? Does anyone like my ideas?

I don't really like the idea of the Car Toon Spin. Too many copies from other parks already.
Instead of Crush's Turtle Twister since it's too much copying and since there's already a spinning wild mouse in WDW, how about if there was Fantasia:The Ride. This ride would be a new E-Ticket to MGM, being a hybrid of a roller coaster and a flume ride.
I like the rest of the ideas though. Very good!
I also have an idea for another new land called AREA 51. This land would be an extention to MGM, it's entrance being near by Star Tours. This land would be themed to a set of a high tech army base, where they're secret has been exposed. The main attraction here would be the reborn Alien Encounter. This land will also contain a few themed shops and restaurants.
I also have a few ideas for refurbs to Fantasmic and the Backlot Tour.

No, thankfully. GMR will, however, receive a big update. The Muppet version of GMR will be over near Muppet*Vision to tie in with the Muppet-themed surroundings.

You know, I like the idea of a water coaster themed to Fantasia. Do you think you could explain the backstory behind your ride? More importantly, what would the building look like? I don't think it should look like a simple soundstage building, which seem to be the norm at the Studios. Could you explain how you would do the Fantasia ride? If it's an E-ticket like you say it is, could you explain what it would look like?

ANIMAL KINGDOM
Discovery Island
Menagerie Carousel: This is a double-decker carousel featuring animals from all over the world.
Latin America
A whole new land for Animal Kingdom! Some of these ideas are copied from stitchcastle. Just thought I'd give the heads-up.
--Raging Spirits: This attraction from Tokyo DisneySea comes to Florida!
--Amazon River Adventure: Take a rattan boat raft ride through the famed Amazon river and marvel at the beauty of the many birds who call this land home, come encounter and actually touch the elusive pink dolphin, play around with the slow Sloth, watch out for the lurking jaguar and have a harrowing experience with the deadly Piranha.
--The Legend of the Snake God: Explore an ancient temple dedicated to the world's largest snake but you're warned not to go too deep as the ancient Snake God doesn't take kindly to strangers. This intense innovative new coaster type attraction combines the thrills of roller coasters and the experience of EMVs as you go through an ancient temple and anger the sinister Snake God. Trouble starts as soon as you trap yourself inside the sacrificial chamber and the walls reveal thousands of snakes slowly slithering towards you. Things don't get any better when you race through an old mine and are pursued by an angry giant anaconda and are ultimately wrapped in its coils ready for feeding. Will you escape?! Find out at this new E-ticket attraction.
Figment's Mythtopia
This is a new name I've thought up for that wet dream of all AK fans, Beastlie Kingdomme! This is the place where you can meet mythical beasts of all kinds. And it's hosted by Epcot's purple dragon, Figment!
--Griffin Flyers: Fly Dumbo-style aboard one of 16 griffins.
--Dragon Tower: A group of renegade bats take you deep inside a dark castle to steal the treasure that is heavily guarded by a sinister dragon. The most unique thing about this suspended roller coaster experience is that each ride vehicle has their own personality which affects the over-all experience whether the bat carrying you is faster, slower, angrier, jollier, and more.
--Quest For the Unicorn: This is a fanciful maze where you meet all kinds of mythical creatures in your hunt for the elusive unicorn.
So, what do you think?
CostaFreak
06-05-2007, 07:55 PM
^There's a EMV ride in AK already, Countdown To Extinction.
Now, here's my idea for Fantasia: The Ride:
The building itself would be a soundstage, but the facade would be completly different. The front wall would be made to look like it has light brown rocks, and near the roof, the walls would be made of glass curves, like the animation building. The enterance, right outside the building, would have a fountain, which would change into different colors at night.
Once in the queve, guests have already been given the impression of what's to come. They then see a coaster train make a 30 ft. curve drop out of the building and back inside through a mist. The guest then reach the inside of the building, and being it's the smallest part of the queve, they would be riding within minutes.
The guests then reach the station. The station is dark, with the sensation of it being night time in a quiet village. The boat then comes into the station, and the guest then board and embark on their adventure.
The boat leaves the station and slowly floats through a right turn. It then goes up the 40 ft. lift hill, themed to be going up Bald Mountain. The boat then reaches the top and slowly goes through a section of the ride themed to the Night on Bald Mountain part of Fantasia. The boat then makes a 10 ft. drop, slightly sprinkling the riders with water. It then gets slightly darker. The track can't be seen, but at the top, near the ceiling, a projection of whales are seen swimming in the night sky.
It then gets completely dark. A light is then seen on the side, and a projection of broomsticks coming out with buckets are seen. The boat then enters a big room. Flashes of thunder and lightning are seen on the walls and ceiling. An AA of Scorceror Mickey is seen on the top of the rock ahead. And then, it gets pitch black, the boats speed up, and dive right out of the building. The boats then re-enter through the mist, back into pitch darkness, and down one last small drop. A flash of lightning is seen, and the boat then splashes down. The boat then reaches the station, and the riders get off wet and happy.
Total ride time: 6 minutes.

That's good thus far. But how about having a few more scenes from other scenes in the film. Maybe we could put some of those at the beginning, like The Nutcracker Suite or Dance of the Hours. You know, stuff that's not too scary and that they lure people into a sense of comfort and then they start up Bald Mountain. I was actually thinking of having the queue and load area look like the concert hall with the music of the orchestra tuning up and then start the ride as the music started and have the boat going into a day-type room, though not out into daylight. Here we have the scenes of Dance of the Hours, to suggest the sky slowly turning darker, because I think the station should be lighter like daylight (the sky turning dark makes sense, since in the film, the ostriches represent morning, the hippos noon, the elephants sunset and the alligators night), followed by scenes of the fairies and maybe the mushrooms from The Nutcracker Suite and THEN you make the climb up Bald Mountain. How about that?
As for CTE, firstly, it's really called Dinosaur and secondly, what's wrong with two EMV rides at WDW? One of my improvements for Epcot calls for a river rapids ride themed to the Rhine (set therefore in the Germany pavilion) and there's already a river rapids ride at AK. I mean, we might as well outlaw Everest from AK, since MK already has three mountains. Don't even get me started on the Omnimover rides at both MK and Epcot.

Fantasia: The Ride sounds awesome!
Yeah, that's the point. And I should have CostaFreak to thank for coming up with the idea, on which I improved. My improvements for the concept were such that I was thinking of at giving all the theme parks on property at least one water-borne attraction.
I was thinking that Fantasia: The Ride could be something like Walt Disney Studios Florida's (or Disney-MGM Studios', as it's currently known right now) equivalent of the Magic Kingdom's Splash Mountain. In fact, I wanted Fantasia: The Ride to be a water-coaster experience the likes of which would rival Journey To Atlantis at nearby Sea World, or even MK's own Splash Mountain.

The Epcot improvements are sort of a way to sort of bring some old attractions out of retirement: new versions of the old JII and World of Motion will be created. Even a new version of Magic Journeys will come in and a new ImageWorks.
And here are two Studios improvement:
1. Whose Line Is It, Anyway?: Do It!: To go into the old Superstar Television location will be this new show based on the show Whose Line Is It, Anyway? Here, four guests chosen from the audience can partake in creating characters, scenes or songs on the spot based on audience suggestions or pre-written prompts from the host. The show takes the form of a fake game show where the host arbitrarily assigns points and chooses a "winner" at the end of each episode.. It's all the fun of the original show without Drew Carey!
2. Sounds Like Fun: A new sound attraction replacing Sounds Dangerous, done more in the style of the original Monster Sound Show.

My next objective for this thread will be a DRASTIC overhaul of MK's Toontown Fair, featuring all sorts of new attractions not seen there. It will feature characters and themes not only from the classic Disney cartoons, but also from the Disney comic books, too, kinda like the concept of Islands of Adventure's Toon Lagoon, which also features classic characters from animated cartoons and newspaper comic strips. Anyway, watch for the attractions list very soon!
First, though, I have a question: what should I call the new land? Mickey and Donald's Toontown or Mickey and Donald's Toontropolis?

Whoa, I guess it's been a while. Anyway, here is my list of improvements for WDW's Toontown, which will now be called Mickey and Donald's Toontown.
Chip 'n' Dale's Treehouse: This is a mini-parachute drop-type ride, like Jumpin' Jellyfish, with acorns topped by tree leaves as the up-and-down gondolas.
Donald's Boat: Explore the Miss Daisy, Donald's famed boat. Climb up stairs and slide down on slides and literally view its bells and whistles. Push down on a button near the smokestack to let loose a stream of water out of the top and douse everyone nearby!
Goofy's Motor Mania: The crown jewel of the new Toontown is this brand-new RRCTS-type dark ride, where you help Goofy save Toontown from the horrific double-whammy threat of Pete and the Phantom Blot aboard your own Toon car! Here's a link to this attraction: http://www.visionsfantastic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16338.
Huey, Dewey and Louie's Roller Derby: This is a bumper car ride with the cars in three different colors: red, blue and green. Huey, Dewey and Louie themselves are in the middle of the course, directing the flow of traffic like a traffic cop. Music from the Disney album Mickey Mouse Disco plays here as well.
Mickey's Crazy Planes: The park's FOURTH Dumbo-style ride, but in this case, this Dumbo-style ride resembles primitive, black and white planes, similar to those found in one of Mickey's first cartoon adventures, Plane Crazy.
Mickey's Wonder House: New name and design for Mickey's Country House.
Minnie's Beauty House: New name and design for Minnie's Country House
Pluto's Tail Spin: Pluto takes you on a wacky "round trip" ride. It moves in a clockwise motion, simulating Pluto "chasing" his tail. Periodically during the ride, the vehicles move up and down to simulate a bump or small hill.
Toontown Hall of Fame: Here, you can visit your favorite Disney friends. The times and character selections change, so keep your eyes open
Toontown Highway: A new version of Goofy's Barnstormer, with small automobiles in place of small planes for cars. Here, you are to take a car out of for a test drive from a Toontown auto dealership, only to have it go berserk, around tight turns and even through a billboard!
Von Drake's House of Genius: Here, you can take in a humorous lecture show with Donald's eccentric uncle and then visit his hands-on, interactive laboratory where young kids can play with some interesting inventions, courtesy of Donald's eccentric uncle.
Walt Disney World Railroad: The station is revised to fit the new location.
What do you think, huh?

1. The Great Movie Ride: This ride will be renovated significantly. More on that later.
The Great Movie Ride really needs an update VERY badly. So it will be renovated significantly. Nothing will be changed until you reach "Raiders" after the substitute driver (which you get either as a gangster from The Public Enemy or a Western outlaw from The Searchers) attempts to grab the jewel only to disappear in a cloud of smoke and you get your original driver back. After that, you go onto a scene about love stories. Here, gone is the Tarzan scene. In its place is An Affair To Remember, where you see Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr on the ocean liner, promising to meet each other on the Empire State Building. After that, you go through the Casablanca scene where the love story theme holds out. After this, the Fantasia scene will be gone (since it will now be the theme of an E ticket attraction of its own elsewhere in the park), and will be replaced by another Disney movie, which also has a love theme: Bambi. This scene here shows Bambi, Thumper and Flower all as adults being "twitterpated" in the springtime of the forest. They fall in love with their respective females (in Bambi's case, it's with Faline).
Then, after The Wizard of Oz, instead of the normal film finale room, that room is now used as a scene devoted to action movies represented by two scenes. One of them is the James Bond movie, Goldfinger. This movie is represented in the ride by the most famous scene in the movie: Goldfinger's banter with the obstinate Bond, who is tied down in the path of a laser beam (BOND: "Do you expect me to talk?" GOLDFINGER: "No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die."). All the while, the music of the movie's unforgettable theme song ("Goldfinger... He's the man... The man with the Midas touch...") is performed. And the other movie seen here is one that today's generation may be familiar with: the Lord of the Rings movie, LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring. The movie scene represented here is that of the Bridge of Kazad Dum, complete with an Audio-Animatronic of Gandalf saying, "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" I specifically selected Lord of the Rings since it's something recent that younger audiences may be familiar with. What's more, I think to put the film here in this part of the ride makes sense both climatically and chronologically, since it came out in 2001.
Then you reenter the loading area, but all the lights are out, and it looks similar to the end of the current Journey Into Imagination ride, with all the fiber optic lights on the walls, so you can't tell it's the unloading area. A big screen is on the wall, directly to the right of the car. The seats then rotate 90 degrees to the right to face the screen and the big film finale is shown as usual, albeit significantly altered a bit, and then at the end, a speaker shouts, "And... CUT!" and the lights return and you exit your car. These ideas would definitely give this ride some of the TLC it deserves while still leaving most of the old movies intact, and keeping them from doing any major building changes.
So, before I forget, based on these changes, the movie selections in The Great Movie Ride (disregarding the pre-show trailer theater (which will also be updated to include trailers from some of the aforementioned newly-added movies) or the closing film finale) should now be as follows (the numbers in parentheses are the years they were released):
Footlight Parade (1933)
Singin' In the Rain (1952)
Mary Poppins (1964)
The Public Enemy (1931)
The Searchers (1956)
Alien (1979)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
An Affair To Remember (1957)
Casablanca (1942)
Bambi (1942)
The Wizard of Oz (1939)
Goldfinger (1964)
Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
What do you think? I'd like some opinions here, please.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with all of your ideas. Where the Little Mermaid is concerned, one of my MK ideas for an overhauled Fantasyland, which will feature among others a dark ride themed to the movie (and yes, it will be based almost entirely on that one bonus feature on the Little Mermaid DVD). So then I thought that to have a dark ride based on a movie in one park and to have a show based on that same movie in another park might be a bit superfluous. So sorry, but the Little Mermaid show at the Studios has to go. It's been there a LONG time anyway. But don't worry, I have plans for a replacement.

It seems Disney is ahead of you on that.
Apparently, Toy Story Mania is considered a way to keep energy in, may I say it, MGM. I don't know if that's the reason for its placement there, but it could be.
Also, a Playhouse Disney show similar to Turtle Talk but with Mickey is being considered a replacement.

The final Imagineering project in this season of "So, You Want To Be an Imagineer, Huh?" is about the creation of a third park for the resorts in California, Japan and France. In the case of Florida, that would be a fifth park. You can view that thread by clicking here: http://www.visionsfantastic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17235.
Anyway, for my park, it will be similar to DCA, in that it will be themed to a state the resort is in. But in this case, it will be themed to Florida and be called either Disney's Florida Kingdom or Disney's Florida Experience. One of the areas will be that park's equivalent of DCA's Bugs Land in that it will be themed to a specific Pixar movie. Only this time it will be Finding Nemo. In addition to new attractions, there will also be a few existing ones being relocated here. Most of the Living Seas' Nemo-themed exhibits and that interactive movie with Crush will be relocated here, as will Animal Kingdom's Nemo musical. Also, from the Studios park in France will come the Nemo-themed coaster.
After I'm through here, the Seas pavilion at Epcot will be reverted back to its older, non-movie-centric self.

Well the only thing i would add to the WDW is at the magic Kingdom. It needs some entertainment venue like Disneyland, but bigger than teh the galaxy palace theatre.

Hey I was thinking. Being that DCA was very unsucceful being to it's theme and Pixarization, do you really think Disney's Florida Kingdom is such a good idea? What if the 5th gate was this (mentioned for the 1,256,347th time): http://www.micechat.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1914174#post1914174
I like the idea of reverting the Living Seas. What if you have a projection of the Greek sea god Posidion in the beginning of the omnimover ride come up and then he dissapears, becoming a dissembodied voice narrarating the ride.

Well, first of all, it was one of the only things I could think of that seemed even remotely practical. And secondly, it was one of the things to always be considered by the actual Disney team. And thirdly, isn't that Disney America you mentioned YOUR idea? At least the FL park is more or less my idea, no offense.

Well, no one is perfect. And I heard that DCA will be getting a much-deserved overhaul that will attempt to correct many of the problems incurred on it. The ol' reliable Al Lutz has a whole article on the subject of the DCA overhaul: http://www.miceage.com/allutz/al082807a.htm.
What's more, many of DCA's attractions are ALREADY at WDW, which means I'm going to have to come up with new and original things. And Florida, in contrast to California, is not really known for any terrain, just flat land and swamps, mostly. So it's going to be a bit of a challenge.
BTW, shouldn't this be mentioned in the Imagineering Finals thread?
