Crowds in August

What are the crowds like in WDW during august. been there in august before but I require refreshment as well as an explanation to why it is or isn't crowded

It's the dead of summer then. It'll be packed in solid, extremely hot with a humidity factor to match.

You do not know heat until you've spent hours in 97 degree heat with 95% humidity. UGH!! You basically have to accept that you will never be dry at any point until midnight, if that.
