Disney may follow Pirates Online with Cars
Disney Thinking Of Cars MMO (http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/675462/Disney_Thinking_Of_Cars_MMO.html)
G4tv Feed
The Feed just returned from a talk with some of the developers of the soon-to-be launched Pirates of the Carribbean Online massive multiplayer online game, and, along with everything you could want to know about that game, we got a chance to chop it up about upcoming Disney MMO products... including an MMO based on blockbuster Cars.
"We're mostly dealing with the launch of Pirates, and a year of follow-on content, but we're beginning work on several new projects," Mike Goslin, Vice President of The V.R. Studio, developer of Pirates Online Developer told us.
"Disney is very interested in this space. A lot of Disney's properties would work really well as worlds. We're in concept development on about a dozen things; we haven't picked yet, but we'd love to do some of the Pixar properties. We're thinking of Cars," Goslin said.
So there you have it, maybe a Cars MMO. Makes sense given the massive success of the single-player Cars game.
Goslin also mentioned a project with fairies and a project with princesses. We think those games, should they appear, are mainly for girls.
