Ok, as most of you Disneyland fans may know, boarding for peter pan's flight is super slow. I was thinking, why not turn all the galleons into six-passenger veichles. There would be less lines. Last time I went to Disneyland I waited 50 minutes just to ride. I mean, it's the best ride in Fantasyland in my opinion. Imagineers should make the galleons longer so it could hold up to 6 people. If this happens, we can all get to Neverland a lot faster than before. Am I right? ;)

Don't worry it's gonna happen I think. Rumor is that they are going to expand the cars.

Only it probably won't be six passengers each, it will probably be four, like in France. However, they would also have to replace the chassis used to hold the ships.

I would also love to see Fastpass for this, like the version in WDW.

The FP could go where the villain store used to be.

They won't add FP to it. It seem like the're sort of trying to get rid of FP so of course they wouldn't put it in on an old ride.

Here are some other ways we could update the ride: how about having a curtain of mist as fog to separate Neverland and London, which feels nice on a hot day. Next, we have the ticking of the crocodile is much more distinct than before.

During the flyover of Neverland, as you pass over Captain Hook's pirate ship, how about having Captain Hook and Mr. Smee faintly being heard and the cannon on the ship trying to "shoot" at you. Hook and Smee are heard, thus: CAPT. HOOK: Mr. Smee! Here they come! Shoot 'em down! SMEE: Aye, aye, captain! (Cannon fires and misses the ship). The loop repeats with each ship flying past.

I was thinking of having Corey Burton voice Hook and Jeff Glen Bennett voice Smee (whom he voiced in Return To Neverland and in Kingdom Hearts).

I like those ideas BDF, one thing i wish they could do is expand the ride, I know it will never happen but I wish they could, its always too short. But realistically, I think they should update the AA's in a couple of the dark rides.

Unfortunately, it's physically impossible to expand the dark rides (well, this one, anyway), but yeah, it would be a good idea to at least make the characters move more fluidly. And maybe add some effects animations. And of course, improve the capacity of the ships, even if it means replacing the mechanism and chassis with which to hold the ships' weights.

And I'll tell you what: maybe we should make a group project of this thread and make like a team to come up with ideas to improve the ride. What do you think?

The mist idea is impactical because it would get all over the ride after a while

Okay, I was just trying to come up with a way to improve the ride. Maybe you can come up with an idea to separate London from Neverland.

No the fog would'nt work because it would go all over and into the london scene.

^ yeah, I guess it could have its draw backs...but then it would look like London is foggy. lol. Or you could put fans that suck air out to get that stuff, away from the falling fog so you would not disrupt that.

Ooh, I just thought of another way to improve the ride: when Peter Pan now mans Hook's ship to head it for London, he calls for pixie dust and a small part of the ship glows brightly. My idea involves the ENTIRE ship glowing brightly like this. Hey, it worked in DLP. Here's a picture to show how the scene in CA should look like, as seen in DLP: http://www.photosmagiques.com/gallery/peter_pans_flight/peterpan_onride1.

What do you think?

FantasmicFan89

that would be pretty cool too.
Disney, are you reading carefully? Something needs to be done to improve our beloved Peter Pan's Flight!

You got that right. The pixie dust galleon is an excellent idea. Now why doesn't disney think of that?

Technically, Disney did think of that, maybe not at DL, but at DLP, whose photo gallery was where I got the picture from.

Well they need to bring their imagineering you-know-whats over to DL and give some love to their original and best park.

Well, for the record, they did provide some love for DL in 2005 for the 50th anniversary.

Finally someone who understands! Thank you! This is the park where it all started. There is history in this place. Disney should do everything they can to improve Disneyland more than Disneyworld. Because, Disneyworld has enough stuff. They copy everything. For example, they are going to have Toy Story Mania just like California Adventure . And they want to prove they are better than Disneyland. But, quite frankly, Disneyland will be the one closer to our hearts and it has that one thing that Disneyworld and all the other parks around the globe don't have and that is ORIGINALITY!

But walt disney world needs more attention...
WDW is like the child that never knew its dad because he died before he was born....
orphans need attention.....
but yeah... Dl does need it to

WDW needs so much work because there is like 10 times more stuff/land that they can't keep up with it.

I remember when DL has been getting the short end of the stick and they have endured a few years of neglect in the late 90s and early 00s during the reigns of the infamous Harriss and Pressler. But after they were ousted and a new team was brought in, helmed by Ouimet, just in time for the 50th anniversary, things took a turn for the better. Now if only something like that would happen at WDW, only 10 times greater given its size in contrast to DL.

Okay, I'm rambling here and we need to get this thread back on topic, off which it has drifted for a few posts now.

Uhm, DL has already been through that phase as Big Disney Fan just said, they just recently started devoting more time to the park. Now the next thing they need to bring attention to is our Peter Pan's Flight that desperately needs updating!

You're right. Sooner or later, they'll make it happen. Maybe you could try writing a letter to Disneyland to hurry them along. Don't know how much good it would do, though.
