I was watching the Disney Treasures DVD of "Your Host, Walt Disney" and there was an episode devoted to promoting "Babes in Toyland". The movie seemed interesting, but I can't find any information about it other than what was on the DVD and what Leonard Maltin wrote in "The Disney Films" (and he did not give the movie a very good review). Does anyone know where I can find more about this movie or even the movie itself? Thanks!

and Keanu? lol I would think lpetiti is talking about the actual Disney Babes in Toyland with Annette, Ed Wynn, Ray bolger, and Henry Calvin & Gene Sheldon (you know, Garcia & Bernardo from Zorro).
Anyway, was the DVD special filmed on the Babes in Toyland set? Did the cast and crew have a party? And did Ed Wynn receive a Mouseker?
If so, I loved that special. I had recorded it from Vault Disney a while ago, but seem to have lost the tape. So, if it is this special you saw on the DVD, glad to know I can get it now.
And yeah, you can get the movie on DVD for probably under $15.

It was one of Disney's earliest episodes of the Wonderful World of Color, which, along with Disneyland, is one of my favorite titles of the Disney anthology series.

I just got this DVD set and it is SOOOO much fun!!
Along with the "Backstage Party" (which is the first thing on disc 2) the set includes the 1956 Disneyland episode "Where do stories come from?", the 1957 Disneyland episode "Fourth Anniversary Show", the 1959 special "Kodak Presents Disneyland '59" (which is my favorite and shows the opening of the Matterhorn, Subs, and the Monorail and includes some nostalgic Kodak camera commercials), and the 1965 "Disneyland Tenth Anniversary Show" plus some bonus material.
These sets are numbered and include a certificate of authenticity and are limited to a production of 65,000.
So, go get one. :D
