Rockin' Rollercoaster DCA!

Hello, I am starting a new project that combines Rockin' Rollercoasters in WDS and MGM, and putting this creation in DCA. Since I wish it would happen in real life. And also you guys need to help me out here because i have never been on either of these rides. :eek: ....yea....i know. lol So, i only know about these rides from research. I am going this summer, though!:biggrin: Ok, so i managed to get some construction photos, i have a special pass to get in. They closed the WHOLE Monsters, Inc. ride plaza, and the former Hollywood and Dine resteraunt. ^Well this sounds like a great idea, but where are the lights? Every second has to be filled with lights, thats the way it is. Im sure you plan on doing that, but other then that this looks pretty good.

Anyone know how to put animated .gifs in RCT3? (it's for the sign that says different things at the launch)

^Use vegas! lol you can just throw the gifs in there and over lap it, there is a way to put it in RCT3 but idk how to

I know Vegas can do tons of cool things, but its really confusing and i dont know how to do it. And by the way, i have school this week so the video probably wont be out until spring break. But I have Friday off! And i know this is COMPLETELY off subject, but does anyone know where I can get the FULL audio of SM and SM: Mission 2? Like, with the talking and countdown at the begginging and stuff? (even though M2 is japanese, or french or whatever. lol) bc i will maybe start yet another project during sprink break, and if i dont i just want it. lol

And by the way... i need your guys opinion. Since this will be Paris/MGM recreation, should there be TONS of lasers in the ride, like Paris, about half of those lasers, or just lasers that trigger when the train comes up to them.
PLEASE I need your opinion! (except a lot of laser would keep the video waiting ;))

Well you can't just say lots of lasers, they gotta be good. Putting in lasers that have like 7 beams and spin isn't a good laser lol. But make it so there are at least two or three in each shot bc there has to be something going on, as for the music, talk to turrlach, he did a recreation of it.

Well, first of all, this isn't exactly a recreation, it's my version of the ride...kinda. And, yea the lasers are all 3 beams, and spinning, and about five of them timed to the ride and facing at you.

as long as the beams aren't facing down, and spin around like a spider its ok, those kind look pretty chezzy, i know your not making a recreation, but how releastic are lights that spin around like a spider?

^Not too bad, but it can be much improved, i think. The outside was really nice, i liked it, but the FCR in the queue you just went through two walls, thats a major no no in the world of RCT3. As your trying to simulate actually walking through the queue. You could have just gone over the railing instead of two walls, thats more realistic, and you should have gone all the way to the ride because you kinda just stopped. But the FCR isn't a big deal, unless you want a close to perfect ride.
The ride, i think you should have shot it with a front, second, or third row POV instead of like the very back. Also you should have done different types of lasers, instead of all the same. These kinds of rides should take you a long time to do, the lasers on my RSM took me at least 10-12 hours total, the rest of the stuff took me maybe 6-7 hours. One thing instead of adding motion to the lasers in the Advanced laser editor, just turn the rotation speed off, and just move the lasers with the base aiming thing, if you point them in different direction. If those spinning lasers were rotating, and moving around it would look pretty awesome! Anyway this isn't bad, but i think you should take some of my suggestions, and make a new coaster in the dark. It can be aerosmith, or RHCP, or your favorite rock band, throw a coaster in a building and go from there. Also if you plan on using signs like the road signs, or the weird donut thingy, light them up! You can't see what it says, i hardly even noticed, just throw one of DRP's lights in front, probably won't work if you put it behind, or use the CSF neon set, that has tiny lights that you can barely see, but they give out a powerful punch.

k thanks for the tips. I didn't like the going through walls thing either, but to tell the truth, I was too lazy and tired to go back and record it over again. And yea, i'll make another version of the ride, this time i'll try to make it better. And with the lasers, I just found those from my other rides I made, so they didn't take me long. And there will maybe be a preshow in the next version. So, i'll work a lot harder on this next version. (after i'm done drooling over my new Xbox 360 ;)) lol

Tips eh? Ok, rule # 1 don't double post in your own thread. No offense, but not everyone is intrested in your project, most of the time people never know that the video is released, its nice on atari how you can change the title of the thread so they can tell if its been released or not. You gotta be patient. I usually don't get many comments for at least a few days. In fact i don't get too many comments at all considering how much some people get. Just wait a bit and you'll get some
