Chris's proof he's frozen:

(Very real looking photo!)

Ex's proof he's buried:

I didn't say anything about him being intact in that grave...

The whole 'cremated' thing is a ruse... his body is frozen. Just because there's a plaque at Forest Lawn doesn't mean the body is really there. He's kept at a cryogenics storage facility outside of Ridgeline, CA.
I guess it's anyone's guess.

If he was in the cryogenics storage facility outside of Ridgeline, CA, then, um, he's not frozen anymore. The Cryonics Society of California let everyone thaw out in the 1970s when the money ran out.

Good to ask! I have heard sucha thing since I was a child.

Certainly is an urban legend, Walt Disney has a tombstone, as far as I have read he was burned, not buried.

But anyway, having a tombstone doesn?t mean anything for sure XDD

Walt Disney was not frozen. Read Neal Gabler's in depth biography of Walt Disney for all the information regarding this crazy rumor.

Shame that a teacher is spreading false information! As a teacher myself, I would never give out information without knowing the truth first, checking several sources, researching, etc. Shameful.

If you've ever checked Snopes, they have tons of urban legends and prove if they're true or false. They say that this legend is false.

Well well well I think the cat is out of the bag so I think I might as well tell everyone. I am part of a secret community which I can not name.

We know the real location. We are the gatekeepers. When the time is right we will stand in the esplanade and chant our secret words. At this moment the moon will rise over the sun and the earth below shall shake. Out of the ground will come 4 pillars each with a special insignia. We chant the words in a specific order and the pillars will open revealing an elevator for us to travel in. This elevator can go sideways, downways, upways, and verticalways. It will take us to secret locations to pick up the pieces to the shredded code. When we put this shredded code together it will give us the correct address but then we must follow the white rabbit to get the special glasses that will let us read the address on the paper. Once we have done all this it will give us a series of numbers that we decode into latitude and longitude points and that will be where we go next. Once we are there we will be told what to do and all will be over.

OOOPssss I think I said to much. Men in white coats are coming to get me. Ohhh nooooo.... somebody anybody........ *computer disconnects*

The thought of Walt was frozen is stupid. Why are we telling our kids this? HE was NOT frozen, he was cremated!!!

People are funny. I remember when I first heard about the "Walt-sicle" story, and ironically it debunked the rumor all at the same time.

In college, our final essay was to write an arguement supporting or denouncing a video we were going to watch. Beforehand, we had no idea what it was we would be watching, and it turned out to be something on cryonics. At the very end of the video when the screen went black, the narrator's voice came back on and said: "Note: Walt Disney was not frozen." News to me! I had no idea that people even thought he was a popsicle!

By the way, in case anyone would like to debunk a lot of these rumors regarding Uncle Walt, here's that link to Snopes:

http://www.snopes.com/disney/waltdisn/walt.asp

Also, someone did mention it a few posts back, but please get Neil Gabler's new book! It's a little pricey, and a relatively thick book to boot, but VERY worth the read! I've been reading this off and on since January (I'm just now getting to when Walt starts Snow White), but it's wonderfully written and thoroughly researched. Neil doesn't just throw something out there and call it "LAW", he supports it with facts and evidence, or else he says something like "one account of the story is...", then "the other account told is...". He debunks and dispells quite a lot of myths regarding Walt, and it also gives you an insight into what kind of man Walt really was.

That's all. Carry on. ;)

According to http://disney.go.com/disneyatoz/familymuseum/collection/insidestory/inside_1960f.html

"Where the idea that Walt was frozen began, nobody knows. He may have had some interest in cryonics and explored the topic. But when Disney archivist Robert Tieman researched the issue, he discovered that the first attempts at freezing a person weren't even discussed until well after Walt's death. In any case, the people who knew Walt and loved him never heard him utter a word about trying it out himself. He never mentioned the subject to Diane or Sharon or Lilly. What's more, he was allowed to pass peacefully; his family lingered around him for some time after his death. No physicians rushed his body off to some kind of freezing chamber as would have undoubtedly been the case if he was frozen."
