Time to start planning for Star Wars Weekends! Starting in June, fans get to meet an impressive lineup of special guests attending four weekends of Star Wars fun at the Disney-MGM Studios in Florida. From June 1 to June 24, 2007, fans of all ages will converge to celebrate the heroes, villains, creatures and droids of the saga. In addition to Star Wars costumed characters, fun activities, and the Star Tours theme park ride, celebrity guests will be in attendance for meet-and-greet sessions, star conversations, and a classic Hollywood-style motorcade. Here's a look at the celebrity guests which include Star Wars cast members from the entire saga. Please check back for future updates to the guest list as it may be subject to change.

I actually wandered right into this a couple years ago. I had no intentions of getting involved with it, just happened to time a visit right when this was going on.

First, let me tell you it is HOT during that time of year, and just about everything happens outside. So be prepared to spend lots of time waiting for meet n' greets outside in the heat/humidity. Be prepared with sunblock, misters, water, hats, anything you can get your hands on because there is no escape from the humidity out there.

But don't let the weather discourage you. If your a Star Wars fan or the parent of a Star Wars fan, this is your perfect chance to be in a Star Wars convention environment without being at a convention. Lots of fans and LOTS of costumed Star Wars characters from all movies I-VI walking around, having various exhibitions, and you'll even see the little show that was the inspiration for CA's Jedi Training Academy. Plus there are also many photo-op's, merchandise specials, and other little things to get your hands on.

If your a Star Wars fan, this is definitely for you, just be safe about it!
