I'm creating a space mountain on RCT3. It will be Rockin'/Regular version. (one video of Rockin', one of regular)(i hope.) Pictures will be shown as soon as someone posts something. And by the way, its kind of already a little more than halfway done so....yea.http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/1520/space2020crab20nebulapo1.jpghttp://img127.imageshack.us/img127/5733/stars3screensaverbigzm3.pnghttp://img127.imageshack.us/img127/4097/speakerblackanimku3.gifROCK ON!!

Google video is better quality, but they don't accept your vids to often, they don't accept some of mine, and if they are going to it takes a long time. Use youtube its a lot faster.
guitarattict
03-17-2007, 01:06 PM
i cant register at youtube, though. Is there any way to post videos without putting them on the internet?
ryguy222
03-17-2007, 01:27 PM
^uh nope, why can't you register for youtube?
guitarattict
03-17-2007, 06:35 PM
youtube either wont let me, or doesn't work.
ryguy222
03-17-2007, 07:22 PM
^uh ok?! just try different user names and emails and it will work. Also if your trying to get a director account, that could be the problem.

I've tried everything. It says: "Sorry, based on the information that you have given us, you are uneligable to register for youtube.

Is that all? I hope you have more work done then that, like the inside of the mountain. Anyway here is what you need to do, don't use the audio from the recording of Rockin, its really bad audio, im assuming your using Space Mountains recording, just use that the whole time, yea yea i know its going to mess up the synchronization, so you just gotta know when to put the video in. If you get vegas you can also have the RCT3 stuff on top of the recorded video. Now you can get a trial of it here, its the full version, just doesn't include sound effects, you can get it at this site, its not the sony site, i didn't spend the time to find it there, but this is the same program, just click mirror 1 or whatever to download http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/SONY-Vegas-Download-33684.html#download_locations

Thx but yea, of course im making the inside that was just the TEASER. It's still in construction. And im using Daddy B's video and if you delete the audio on the video the video itself deletes, too. So, any suggestions?
ryguy222
03-18-2007, 02:39 PM
I know your making the inside, i thought after all this time you might have some done, but it doesn't matter. My first suggestion would be to get the trial of sony vegas, my second suggestion is idk, first what video editor do you use? If your using WMM then you should be able to delete the audio and not the video.

AVI takes too long to put on putfile. Sorry. Ill only post important vids.
ryguy222
03-18-2007, 08:18 PM
Again...what editor do u use?!!! It doesn't matter what the file type is, it depends how big a file you save it as.
guitarattict
03-19-2007, 05:15 PM
I ususally use WMM, but for this im using Vegas, the one you showed me.
ryguy222
03-19-2007, 05:57 PM
Ok, here is what you do, usually if you save it as an MPG (main concept 2) or a Main concept 1, its a little bit higher quality, and its smaller. If you want even smaller go with WMV, windows media video, to save it as a specific type like the ones i just showed you, go file, click render as, then type in the name of the video , then under select which one. Those are the ones i suggest, and the only ones that work.

i know this is off-topic but how do you make a ride stop, then launch? I already know how to make it stop and launch, but it doesn't go fast at all and its set on like..67 mph. This is in RCT3, by the way...lol And about Rockin' SM, im not so sure im going to continue on it. Bc i saw your recreation and it was great (on the atari forums, i dont have an account) And i have different projects i have been wanting to work on. So i guess its no use watching this thread anymore......

^ set the block breaks one apart from each other(Block Break then Normal piece then Block Break) so once it hits the second break it'll take off to your desired speed, thats how I always do it and it all ways works for me.
Sesshomaru-sama
03-28-2007, 07:24 PM
You don't need to discontinue it. It doesn't matter if another person's recreation is better or not. Just do it if you really wanted to do so.
Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,

its not because his is better, its just that i have more projects i want to work on......(and its hopefully going to be very rockin'.) ;)

03-31-2007, 08:11 AM
^ur doing cali screamin, i knew right when you asked about the stop and launch. Another way is you can set it on block section mode, then put a chain lift section and then your launches. You don't need them to be more then 67 because the speed is only 55, i understand that in RCT3 you may need it faster to get up the first lift, however block brakes are fine.

lol no, actually Rockin' Rollercoaster. I'm probably making a new thread on it, so look out for that.

Well, I didn't want to dissapoint you guys too much, so... here is a ROUGH DRAFT of DLR Space Mountain: 2005- version (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RE98Z3KW)And by the way, this project might go a little slow, since i'm working on Universal Studios. So please be patient.
! Oops, sorry for double post...
ryguy222
04-30-2007, 07:18 PM
Uh ok im confused, why did u do 2005? This thread is called Rockin' and you didn't really say what your doing. Ok i've got a huge list of constructive critcism so i will begin (get your note pad and pen out lol)
acually i'll start off wit this, the lift hill was pretty cool, its not really in that pattern, but it was cool, however it looked as though the wall wasn't there or the roof, one of those. And the music was very very good, it sounds as if you used a midi generator and added in notes, espcially at the end. Whatever it was, im like dying to have it now bc that was amazing. The countdown you obviously through in, but no biggie.
ok NOW the suggestions
1. Don't use particle effect stars, there really cheezy and yes i spelled that with a "Z" and no it doesn't stand for zurg. Instead use star walls, there are tons out there, Spaceventure has some i think, DRP has em' and jcat has them in his space worx set. But don't use stars in RSM if you are doing RSM
2. What in the world is up with the warm tunnel, the blue strobe thing, right after the lift it goes about 4-5 track sections forward, turns right, then has about 15-20 track sections, probably less, then turns right again and has one track section then goes to the spinning tunnel. I know this was a draft, but that is a major major! Problem.
3. There is a reason Jcat made black dark ride walls USE Them! Cover up the spinning tunnel! They covered it up in the real ride, now i know its extremely hard to cover that up, a tip is to go straight above the tunnel looking down at it from the top. When your doing that you can placve walls on the ground and haul them to the top alligned correctly.
4. Do not have the coaster go through the spinning tunnel!! Toward the end you can tell it goes throguh, we'd like to keep our heads! Not only that it looks incredibly cheesy
5. Why are there three cars per train?
6. For SM2005 you must set the track draw distance to zero, as well as the supports, for RSM you can leave it on, turn off the supports, and make your own supports out of steel beams to do it right.
7. You know i think thats about it.......I still like ducks and pancakes....yup thats it! Oh and please tell me where that music is from! I want it!
So basicly this ride is pretty good, as most dark rides have tons of holes in them, and you get to see grass. In this i did not see it once! good job on that!

k, thnx for advice, and heres (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6A43Z5UQ) the music. Or, you can not be lazy and go to this (http://www.freewebs.com/rctman12/) website and find it. lol jk. But, anyway, I don't really like the star walls, because they leave tiny cracks when you stack them, and you can just barely see outside. But with this big a building, it looks really strange, trust me. And sorry for the going-through-tunnel-thing, that was what I meant when I said "rough draft." I'll try to fix that. And i'll try the track distance, too. I just thought it would look more realistic. Because, that's what I was going for. As for the 3 cars thing, It wouldn't let me do more, so if you would like to give me advice on that, please do. And, by the way, I kinda mentioned that I was going to do BOTH Space Mountain's, so i'm keeping a half of the promise. And by the way, thanks for all the advice and compliments,it'll really help!

^Ok well idk about the star walls, i never had any problems, bc i used them over the other dark walls that i used in SM2005, so thats probably why, just make an inner shell of Star walls, and an outer shell of Just black walls. It takes longer but deffintly worth it. And what do you mean by it wouldn't let me have more cars? There are two cars in one train, so you need only two, not three. Also change your on-board lights all to black, that way it doesn't light things up that shouldn't be lit up. Thanks for the link, i've been waiting for Alex (rctman) to get those downloads up.

k cool thanks for the "outer shell" tip, thats a good idea, and for the trains, I thought you meant i didn't have enough cars. So, yea. thanks for the tips.

mrskellington, you are sooooo off. lol k sorry I changed it a bit. Here is what it really looks like.http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/294/scan0001pr3.jpgHINT: It says it in the Rockin' version of the ride.I knew it from when u showed the picture! It's the Space Stage that is now covered up by the new enterance and where you would normally see it in line is a bunch of concrete.

Yeah, just read this page of posts, someone got to it before me. =[ hey where did that space stage use to be at? Like HISTA queue, SM queue? SM Walkway to the queue? Where? lol
