WDW Haunted Mansion's 3 month refurb

No Haunted Mansion During Summer Time (http://blog.mousekingdom.com/2007/03/09/no-haunted-mansion-during-summer-time/)

When you (have to) plan your Walt Disney World holiday early it can happen that you’ll only find out about closures of certain attractions way after you booked. I can only say that I am very happy that the Haunted Mansion will be open and refurbished when I am going. The dates of the closure are June 6th to September 12th and will be a surprise for many summer time visitors. I guess Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has something to do with it as this attraction is the one you should visit during a Halloween party. Although not many people did this, lines where never long, even during the 31st October. In my opinion no Halloween party is complete without a visit to the Mansion. I am looking forwards to visit my favorite Walt Disney World attraction again in October and am very curious and can’t wait to see the result of the refurbishment.

EDITORS NOTE:
Dates can be verified using Walt Disney World's

For major Haunted Mansion fans like myself this is really great news. This refurb will be worth it.;)

understandable - but for those of us who can only make it down there every blue moon the fact that the refurb begins right before we get down there... it's a bummer

my brother has never EVER been to a Disney park, and who knows when he'll get to go again

The rehab is much needed but it still stinks that its going to be for so long in the middle of summer, when crowds are still pretty thick. I always think about the first-timers when attractions are closed and how it stinks that they can't experience that too.

This is actaully really good news! The WDW HM is in desperate need of updating. I'm overcome with excitement that this is being done. Hopefully this update includes the new DL technologies to the inside, rather than just a facade makeover.

for people visiting in august...not so much. Not only this is closed but Space ship earth is closed as well. Both are actually are for good reasons. SSE needed an update and our little old HM needed some new pazazz. just saying how that this means less time via park and more time stuck at the pool, room or the repetion of rides

I have never once set foot inside the mansion. It was all thanks to my mother all those years ago that convinced me when I was about seven or eight that the mansion was just to scary. However, I am going to WDW after all these years over fall break and one of the first rides I am going to ride is none other then: The Haunted Mansion. Now I can finally judge for myself if it is scary or not.
