Rules:
The goal of this game is to guess what Disney movie the person in control of is thinking about by reading the clues provided. The winner posts a new clue about a Disney movie and starts the game over again. However, in order to start a new game, the next player must receive confirmation from the current player. The clues may easy or hard, but if it's hard, hints should be given. Remember: You must correctly guess what the current is before starting a new game.
Please don't guess if you know you aren't going to be on for an extended period of time. In the case that someone guesses correctly and is not back on for some time, 48 hours past confirmation the person who posted the most recent picture may post another or pass play to anyone else. Do not post "When will we get the next picture?" or "I'm getting bored over here." or anything like that. "They do not help, and will be viewed as 'flooding' of the boards, which is against the Guidelines."
TimmyII has control and may start the new game...

Sorry for the delay. I was out of town. Anyway, here is a really easy one. Back in the 50s, Disney released two animated features that starred the same female lead vocal. Name the two movies, the characters, and the actress.

So, I read the rules in the first post... Looks like we're supposed to be figuring on the name of the movie...
But anyway.
IMDB says that movie opened on my birth date... Feb 8, '67. Other sites say it opend on Feb 2.... Either way, I'm not sure why I don't remember the gala event. Producers: Walt Disney and Ron Miller... The CEO and his son-in-law/future CEO. Big names!
Oh... names.
They were retired NASA monkeys... I'll go with Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter.
disneylandchick7

Anywho, you're up Fantasmic!Kid!!
They used to show that movie on Wonderful World of Disney. Alot. It got to the point where they would show it and we'd be like What, Again?! and watch something else.

Here's a new question:
In "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", what was Frollo's first name and title?
TimmyII
10-15-2007, 11:37 AM
Judge Claude Frollo! (had several friends who portrayed him in the park!)
Figfriend
10-15-2007, 12:05 PM
Correct! Frollo was one of my favorite villains growing up, and I remember seeing the stage show often. I still have some of those paper bells that fell from the ceiling pressed into a book somewhere. Now I just have to find them...
Good job! You're up Timmy!
TimmyII

10-17-2007, 09:14 PM
Sweet!
OK, this one is as easy as pie.
This movie is based off of a Aesop fable and the main character was originally named Red and was a high-diver in a circus. In the movie he was niether but they are clues to helping you figure out the movie.
Have fun!

The Fox and the Hound?
tomserwin
10-18-2007, 09:34 PM
^Nope.
Just to clarify, the name Red has absolutely no bearing on the actual movie. I included that fact for kicks and giggles. The circus part does apply.

ShrunkenNed
10-19-2007, 06:25 AM
Just a guess, but...Bug's Life? It's based off of the Grasshopper and the Ants...the rest I'm not sure of, but they ARE Circus bugs.

Hmm... I think I just blew a good potential question in the last answer! Ok, to keep with the TV theme:
Which SNL cast member (former or current) played a self-parody in animated form?

Dsnymom
10-25-2007, 09:14 PM
The only one that comes to mind right now is Adam Sandler in eight crazy nights, but i'm pretty sure thats not a Disney movie so that probably isn't it.

10-26-2007, 10:56 AM
^ Nope. It's gotta be a Disney movie. Sandler's was from Columbia/Sony.

No, not Ana Gasteyer. I'll expand on the hint...
Which SNL cast member (former or current) played a self-parody in animated form?
Hint: This person is better known for their musical talents.
Hint: He wasn't widely known for his work on SNL as a cast member but is a respected "name" celebrity even today.
I wanted to make it so you couldn't just ask google, and it's cool that people are really trying with this one! I'll keep adding hints if y'all are still struggling because I'm not here to hurt your brain. But then again ... it wouldn't be "trivia" if it wasn't a little obscure. ;)

David Spade?? i'm not so sure if his work in Emporer's New groove would be considered a parody, but it's worth a try.
Magic1
10-30-2007, 03:08 PM
Well... David Spade wasn't who I was thinking of, but I can see how one could argue that Kuzco was very David Spade-esque. So, because I wasn't specific enough in my question, and you made a really good guess, I'll pass it to you, km2435. Great job!
I was thinking of Paul Shaffer who played Hermes in Hercules. He wore his trademark glasses ("Hey, hey! Watch the glasses."), was a supporting character to Zeus (like Shaffer supports David Letterman), directed the Muses ("Hit it, ladies!"), etc. "Isn't that too nutty?!" Shaffer was primarily known as a musician on SNL, but left the show and returned as a cast member for a very short time, appearing in several skits.

TimmyII
11-19-2007, 10:46 AM
Their names are based on their most recognizable characteristic. Happy is always happy, Bashful is always bashful, Grumpy is always grumpy, Sleepy is always sleepy. They chose the names from a pool of names which included names like Scrappy, Cranky, Dirty, Awful, Blabby, Silly Daffy, Flabby, Jaunty, Biggo Ego, Chesty, Jumpy, Baldy, Hickey (always hiccoughing at the wrong moment), Gabby, Shorty, Nifty, Wheezy, Sniffy, Burpy, Lazy, Puffy, Dizzy, Stuffy, and Tubby.
