View Full Version : Which parks should I visit?

Here's the deal. My dad is thinking of taking me to Disney World in June for three days. I told him that it was possible to do all four parks if we had a park hopper ticket, but my dad doesn't want to park hop. Now, there's new stuff that I want to see in all four parks and I can't decide which parks to visit. Anyone have any suggestions?

My suggestion would be Magic Kingdom, Epcot & Animal Kingdom. Unless you're a real movie-buff or have a thing for watching movies in production, celebrities, or movie sets in general, you'd only really be missing Tower, Rock n' Roller Coaster & their Fantasmic! @ Disney Studios. A lot less missed there than what you'd miss by not going to one of the other parks.

I'll have to second that on PMM's suggestion.

Magic Kingdom and Epoct are unmissable.
I prefered MGM over the Animal Kingdom though. Animal Kingdom seems more suited for children than MGM is.

I am also with PMM here, but if you like coasters, it may be a little harder to choose. MGM has the Rock N' Rollercoaster, which isa great ride, but AK also has EE. But overall, I think AK would be a better choice then MGM. MK and Epcot are must see's.

The real problem is all the new stuff at the parks that I want to see. There's the Laugh Floor at MK, The Seas with Nemo at Epcot, HSM Pep Rally at MGM, and Finding Nemo The Musical at AK. I need help!

Given that list, the HSM Pep Rally is by far the lowest based on quality and experience. Laugh Floor isn't open yet, but I highly doubt you're thinking of not visiting MK, so it's a moot point there.

Hmm... I wonder if you could convince your dad to do one day's worth of park hopping. In our experience, Animal Kingdom was great in the mornings, but it closes early. MGM really doesn't have much at all, but if you're a thrill junkie, it's near impossible to miss TOT and the Rockin' Roller Coaster!
It's a shame the park hopper option costs more. :/ And it can take quite a while to get from one park to another! For having three days there, I can understand why your dad wouldn't want to hop.
Okay, okay, I'll go with the crowd and say, skip MGM. Animal Kingdom is a far more impressive experience overall, and has more to do over the course of a day.
Hope you enjoy your trip in any case!

One plus about Animal Kingdom's early close is that it provides a good opportunity to scout the Downtown Disney district out. It doesn't take very much time to see at all, especially if you don't care about Pleasure Island's stuff, but it does have some interesting points of interest to check out.
Another thing you can do that night is go have a wonderful dinner at Ohana @ the Polynesian Resort. That is by far the best restaurant in all of WDW.

I think I'll go with tomserwin's suggestion and try to convince my dad to park hop. But how? I still need help! Sorry if I'm bothering you guys.

Horray for me!
Don't worry, you're not bothering us. Isn't that what forums are for?
First things first. Why doen't Dad want to park-hop?

My dad says that park hopping is tiring, and it takes a long time to get from one park to another.

^ Ok, now the long time thing is not ture (usually) If you are staying at a Disney hotel, you could go to the bus stop, and go directlyto another park. it may take a bit to get the bus, but it usually never takes more then 10 minutes. the stops are all right infront of the park. I guess you could still do it even if you are not staying the night in a Disney hotel, but they really only want it for those people.

Besides, it is no more tiring to walk around two parks than it is to walk around one. You only walk so fast. At a consistent rate of speed, you will walk the same amount either way. The only difference is what you see, namely, two parks instead of one.
