Has anyone else used Expedia.Com to reserve a package? I followed the directions and everything. I'll be staying at the Best Wester Park Place (wonderful place) and flying Delta (roundtrip). The thing is folks is that my total cost for flight AND hotel was $200 short of $2,000. Now this is the first time I have ever booked a trip online but I do know how expensive hotel reservations can be when it's all added up. Since there are 5 of us and I figure about $100 a night, that would equal close to $600.
I think I just paid for the flight alone. However, there's a side note in my Expedia itinerary saying Note: The flight portion of your trip is charged directly by the airline. This will result in you receiving a separate credit card charge for the flight, but the total charges on your credit card will be equal to the trip price.
My main point/question is, what did I pay for exactly? My Hotel reservation or my flight?. Now, I sent Expedia an email asking this very same thing so I'm hoping to hear from them soon. Also, since our flight tickets are E-tickets, the only way I'll know that my flight was booked would be that day when I depart and by calling to confirm the flight departure. I am also giving Expedia a week to reserve my Hotel and by then I will be calling not only Expedia but the Hotel as well. So all I can do right now is wait, but if anyone has any information they can give me at all, please share it with me.
