Was there ever any plans to have a Rockin' Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom? I know with it limited popularity it's not going to happen, but if it had been popular would they have changed MK Space Mountain?

Seeing as MK's Space Mountain has no audio track at all and has no on-board sound systems at all...I don't think it was being considered.

I would guess yes, only if WDW Space Mountain had went through a major refurb just like DLR's. with audio added, but thats not the case.

It wouldn't make any sense either, since they already have RRC at MGM.

By the way, I'm gonna post a video soon of WDW's SM with the lights on. Let's just say there is a little surprise in the video.

Is the surprise the fact that the lights are on?

Is the surprise that the track is so close that it looks like your hands will be sliced off if you put your arms up? Just kidding, I've heard that the track in WDW's Space Mountain is very close to the rocket as DL's was before they refurbished it.

I would love to see Space Mountain, as well as some other WDW attractions, get a nice refurb and some TLC. I'm happy that Spaceship Earth and the Haunted Mansion are finally starting to get some of the attention they rightfully deserve, and hopefully this trend will continue to some of the other rides throughout the parks.

I agree with everyone on this thread and yes I hate to say it too. But I don't think that Rockin' Space Mountain was planed for the Magic Kingdom.
