What do you think is going to happen to this parade?

Bye-bye in 2007
Stays for a while, but is gone by the 40th of WDW
Will keep on adding new floats
Stay the same for a while and never leave

I wonder...

I've never seen it, but what I've seen on ToonDisney, it looks bad. I'll say (and hope) it goes bye-bye in 2007.

i like this parade. it's one of the better daytime parades.

if it goes away i'm sure that Disney will keep the floats and dress them up for something else. for some reason the people in WDW don't know how to make good daytime parades. look at the ones over at the Magic Kingdom. they supposedly have a new one like every year or so, and yet the SAME floats are still being used each year.

DL has the best parades in my opinion. now SpectroMagic, that's an exception to WDW.

I don't think this one will be around much longer, simply because of its age. It's going on six years old now. It would be nice to see something new, although I like that DSMC is constantly changing the cars to fit current movies - it keeps it very fresh (imagine if it still had the Atlantis float!).

That being said, I really love DSMC. It's a fun little parade that's nicely themed, with plenty of characters.

Every year it is themed for the Hollywood Holly-Day Parade. For some odd reason, it does not include the Star Wars float every year.

Reported by Photosmagiques under the WDSfan section

One of the more uncertain rumours circulating for the resort's grand 15th Anniversary Celebration is that the Disney Cinema Parade, Walt Disney Studios Park's main daytime parade since June 2002, could be replaced as a final gift to the two parks at the end of the year-long celebration. The celebrations are likely to begin around 12th April 2007, the official 15th anniversary of the resort, and will continue for one whole year with many exciting new additions including Toon Studios, Tower of Terror and a brand new Disneyland Park parade.
The rumours suggest that Disney-MGM Studios Florida's Stars and Motor Cars Parade could be crossing the Atlantic to Paris in a permanent parade reshuffle. This information has been given further credability recently by strong rumours "across the pond" that the Pixar-themed Block Party Bash parade, which debuted at Disney's California Adventure in May 2005, could be moved to Disney-MGM Studios Florida in late 2007.

^^i like that idea. the DCA would get a new parade, WDW will have a parade they haven't seen, and so will DLP.

Actually i dont know if its still going on but I read somewhere that during Star Wars weekends the parade is dedicated to the Star Wars characters. Thats a cool touch if one of the parade vehicles were say a landspeeder..pod racer..those would be very kewl to see

This parade seems small compared with the other parades such as Share a Dream come true parade & Spectromagic. Still, it's a good parade as the characters walk around and shake your hands.

Part of the 501st Stormtroopers Legion and proud to march in that parade. And I was MGM Costuming. I can't say much, but back in January, we started to make room for new items to be used at a later date.

I gotta be honest, I never stick around and watch any of the daytime parades...we always use that time to run and take advantage of the shorter attraction lines:)
