I'm a big disneyfan, I know everything about Disneyland and all the Firework shows at every disney park! I listen to the track for both of them and seen them both on youtube and mousegeeks, I think the DDCT repeats the same chorus and SADCT have a story behind it so I would say, SADCT!
I thought they were the same thing?

Share A Dream Come True Parade was introduced for the 100th Birthday Celebration of Walt Disney. That parade is the one that was also know simply as the 'snowglobe parade'. It's soundtrack featured music that would just repeat itself throughout the course of the parade; there were no lyrics involved.
Disney Dreams Come True Parade is the parade they introduced for the 'Year of a Million Dreams'. The only thing different about this parade is the music and some of the float designs. For the most part, this new parade uses the exact same floats as the SADCT Parade (minus the snowglobes) and the same costumes. I remember reading somewhere that the music for it wasn't even new, that it was used in a parade a while back at Tokyo Disneyland, just not in English.

Actually the 'Kingdom of Dreams and Magic' was sung in both English and Japanese during the parade in Tokyo. They would alternate back & forth. I enjoyed that, made it feel a little less like I was on the far side of the world.

Disney Dreams Come True all the way! I love the music from TDL. The globes must have been getting a little bit boring by now, eh?

Personally, I'd have to say the original version of SADCT was better. I hated the mockery of a parade that it became after The Changes. But back when it had all the original floats intact and the show stops, it was SO magical. I like DDCT better than the revamped SADCT, though.

There was a period of about a month between when I went to WDW and saw Share a Dream Come True and the unveiling of Disney Dreams Come True. When I went the CMs all made fun of SDCT and watching it was a series of waving to characters as they rode by with some background music no one paid attention to :P The parade had withered away from anything it used to be and the breath of fresh was great or both the people performing it and the people watching it, because the CMs got really excited about it. I'm sure that feeling's faded by now but even in a worst case scenario, I'd rather be clapping along to the new happy fun music with bored performers than listening to the old music as the bored performers trudged along. :P
Only regret about SDCT leaving is no one got to see the unused new showstop they made for it :P

I'm going to say Share a Dream Come True Parade. I love their showstops. It's too bad they're not doing that anymore, because of you know what.

I missed seeing the latest one when we went in September so I shall have to see it in January when we go.

Many changes were made in the parade. There was an accident involving the princess float in 2004, which signaled changes to the parade. After that, the show stops and dancing were eliminated from the parade, maybe because the float was needed to do the show stops. The vulnerable castle float was back, taking the princess float's place. Disneyland and Walt Disney World both had identical floats, but then DL got rid of theirs after the Christmas Parade became A Christmas Fantasy. Walt Disney World's was first used in the 15 Year Anniversary, and temporarily used in other parades after that parade. During the 25 Year Anniversary Parade they brought that back. It was originally for good riddance in 2001 for SADCT, but after the accident, they temporarily used it as the Princess float, which seemed really crowded. They almost got rid of it in 2006 for DDCT, but used it for the V.I.P. characters (Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Chip, Dale, and Goofy). No show stops in the new parade, but the globes were removed from all floats and replaced by other float toppers. Mickey has a piece of film behind him, the same film used around the float. The Princess floats (back from 2004) have canopy things over them. Villains float has a black arch which inflato-Chernabog sits his hands on. Aladdin's bubble/hot air balloon has turned into the magic carpet and the city of Agrabah. Pinocchio has a roof on top of him. The Peter Pan float remains the same. I voted already DDCT, because it has new music from TDL. Any reason for why the choreography is so simple?

It was the song used in Tokyo's Dreams On Parade's showstop with new lyrics. There was one day that the computers went into showstop mode by mistake and started playing the audio to it on accident before jumping back into parade mode heh. The song was easily recognizable but it took me a year and a half of sleuthing to figure out why it was there heh.

so why did they cut the show stop?

I don't know. The original showstop was removed for its various reasons. As for this one, they made the music, installed it, and decided never to use it. Perhaps they were going to and then tokyo switched to Moving On and they made their own plans to switch to this new music so didn't feel a need to waste money on finishing the showstop. I don't know and doubt more than a couple people in this world know. As it is only a handful knew this thing even existed =P

so why did they cut the show stop?
Because like from years ago, The little Mermaid float killed a guy in a Pluto costume.

Actually the Beauty and the Beast float killed that certain person.
I prefer not to talk about death on VF

Yes, that is why the original show stop was cut from the parade. I believe WDW now has stricter regulation on how parades can be staged and how performers can move around each float unit. It is different at DL in CA.
I was referring to the 'new' show stop that almandot mentioned that never actually was used. That seems to have been cut for who knows what reason- probably time or budget.

Possibly because they decided to go with the Disney Dreams Come True parade makeover instead.

I think from a quality point of view the original SDCT parade is better than DDCT. I actually like both soundtracks. SDCT music was so majestic and grand and now the DDCT music is a lot of fun, like the music for the 25th anniversary, 'remember the magic.'
DDCT parade looks kind of tired, though. I don't think the floats were altered enough and when I saw the pictures of the parade its kind of like you can see how the floats don't really work anymore from a design stand point without the globes.
Also, does anyone else think its weird that they kept the attachment for the Fairy Godmother's cape on the princess floats, but don't use it. I know the floats are all seperate units now, so they just should have removed the cape that flows through the floats.
