For some of of you who may have come accrossed The Little Mermaid Special Edition There is a feature that talks about tells you about and fully explains a attraction that would be based on The Little Mermaid, that never was built (it was intended for Disneyland Paris along with a Beauty and The Beast show), it would have used a ride system that somewhat resembles Peter Pan's Flight. And in the interview they said that attractions like this are good practice and that they usually end up in the parks eventually. And on Jim Hill Media (I know he's almost always wrong) about 10 months ago they put up an article about this very same attraction and said there is a possibility it will go in to where Pooh's Playful spot is now, or next door (because they show you the layout on the DVD it takes up 2 floors and takes up very little space but is still a amazing attraction). I know I already started alot of polls but I'd like to hear what other ppl have to say about this. so poll away and state your personal Oppinion if you have any. P.S. Tony Baxter the leader of the original JII attraction helped in designing this attraction. P.S. I will try to find the article and post it so theres a better Idea of what Im talking about;)

just to let you in on more info about the ride the second floor is the ground floor, and first is like the basement. The upstairs would serve as the above the sufface and the basement would serve as the below the surface. The effect of the water would be done with fog, lazers, and fiber optics. The scenes would be a little mixed around because they put you in the story. heres how it happens. The ride begins and you above the surface its dark and your in a ship graveyard and then things get a little brighter and you Ariel and here friends staring at a ship with prince Eric and Max on board then after a few introductory words you are sent down under the water (not literally but you know what I mean) and you are put in the Under the Sea scene which is doe with colorful lights, moving spot lights, and a Disco ball...... anyways you move on and see Flotsom and Jetsom and tell you to not be afraid and then you see ariels grotto and ariel with prince eric's statue, then you turn and see atlantica in view but are heading right for Ursula's Lair and as you enter her lair there the poor unfortunate souls on rotating rings creating this sense of vertigo and then you see Ursula changing ariel into a human and then you turn and see Flotsom and Jetsom looking up at the future Kiss The Girl scene and then you come to this very dark area and see 2 glowing yellow eyes gazing at you while going up its stormy and theres lighting(strobe lights) moving waves and ships and then the giant Ursula comes out of a whirlpool and then things go dark, then suddenly you car hits (another) giant ursula and she(like the movie) dies then its dark again and then Scuttle appears on a lilie pad and then you are put into the Kiss The Girl scene which serves as the attraction's finale and then you see prince Eric and Ariel on theboatn getting married like the movie and then Sebastion tells you good bye and your back in the station. So theres basically a description of what the ride would have been like or will be like.

That would be lovely :D it's a great ride, but a little to dark, and out of story, in some parts ;)

i would rather see it placed in a park that could make better use of it...DCA

well it wouldn't fit well in for DCA its for MK and could go to DL. The outside of the attraction would look like Prince Eric's Castle and TLM is set in Europe...
I say build it, it's an excellent attraction. But, linklewtt is right... it needs to go to DCA, which needs the crowds. They could fit it in with the Paradise Pier theme.

Well, the Ursula spinner could probably fit. But Under the Sea Adventure would not fit in Paradise Pier. Its a Fantasyland Designed Attraction. A adventure through an aquatic enviorment that takes place in Denmark wouldn't fit well in a California Boardwalk.
