In December my family and I are taking a weeks long vacation at the resort, and since I haven't been in about 6 years, there are just a couple questions I had that I'm sure will have an answer to.
1) What park would be the best to go to first? The last time I went I remember going to Epcot first, but having a lot of spare time after hitting all the attractions in half a day, and spent the last half trying to find more to do, or just sight see around World Showcase. I'm not sure how the lines are during the holiday season, so can anyone give some insight?
2) What is the age limit for Pleasure Island? I'm not sure if it's 18 or 21 because I'm 18 now and am looking forward to see the improv comedy club.

First thing you should do, since you have not been in a while is pick up Birnbaum's Guide Book for Walt Disney world. It is filled with a lot of useful stuff about all the parks, water parks, and resorts. It will give you some info about Fast pass, and some other help hints to help with the crowds. Also make sure you go by www.waltdisney.com, the official web site for the park. Here you can get a park schedule, to help you plan your trip better. And don't forget to make your reservations for you meals, it being December they might not be taking walk ups at some of the places.
Second, when in December are you going? Every week in December has different crowd levels. The closer you get to Christmas and New Years, the crowded it will be. So make sure you plan you day accordingly.
As for PI, a lot has changed since the last time you were there...shoot a lot has changed since the last time I was there! But they no longer charge to get into Pleasure Island, but you will be charged to go into the clubs. At your age you will be able to get into all the clubs and that includes the improve club. But don't miss the Adventures Club, a must for me every trip! (Except for Mannequins and BET Soundstage, they will not let you in thur - sunday.)
As for me I always hit Magic Kingdom first! Depending on the crowds that can be a one or two day park. For me Disney MGM and Animal Kingdom can be half day parks, but again with the crowds, or if you just take you time and enjoy the parks, they can be full day parks. Don't miss Fantasmic at MGM. EPCOT can also be a full day park, if you do it right. Take you time in the World showcase. There is tons to do and see in each of the pavilions. But you really don't want to miss OFF KILTER in Canada, they are a must see every trip! And I some times try to see more than one show a day!

Ummm... I think what ekmdisney meant about the website was www.disneyworld.com.
www.waltdisney.com is the website for his museum.

they have a new feature on the Disney World park website where you can print out a map of each park with your planned route. You choose your favorite places and your new interests etc and they create your map and mail it to you... I haven't played with it yet, but next week I'm all over that baby! lol

Thanks everybody! You've been a great help! Now I'm really excited about the trip! Also: when I come back, I'm going to have a HUGE picture update! Why? I have a new digital camera and I plan on taking pictures of pretty much EVERYTHING!
