Hello Everyone!!

My fiance and I will be leaving for our honeymoon nin WDW Dec. 31st!!! I have been there numerous times and Brian has never been. I know all the "normal" things to do but would really love advice from anyone who has honeymooned there or from any CM's.

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

FYI, we are staying at POFQ.

I and my wife have been to Disney World 3 times in the past year with our first being on our honeymoon. My first recommendation would be for you to make your dinning reservations right now! Treat yourselves to some great Disney dinning experiences. For breakfast, the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom is a must. You get in the park before everyone else, the food is great, and you get to see Disney characters. I would go on about more dinning ideas but I would encourage you to research some more dinning locations around the resort. Make sure you see Wishes, the nighttime fireworks show in the Magic Kingdom a few times. Watch it inside the park the first time, but here is the romantic location, go to the Polynesian Resort and watch the fireworks from the beach. It is very romantic. How long are you two going to be at Disney? If I have any other ideas for you, I will let you know.

And tell EVERYONE it's your honeymoon. You won't believe the amount of free stuff and perks you'll get! My wife and I were treated like royalty (as if we wouldn't already be right?) Just enjoy yourselves and don't rush!

Thanks for the advice! We will be there from Dec. 31-January 8th and will even be there on my birthday. Very exciting!! So what kind of free stuff and perks did you get? Where did you both stay?

We stayed at the Animal Kingdom lodge. Very nice! As TIMMYII stated, tell everyone that it's your honeymoon. You can do this by stopping by any guest relation centers at any of the parks (as you go into the Magic Kingdom, it is to your left) and tell the cast member working at the desk that you are on your honeymoon. They will give you and your husband a honeymoon pin that you can wear your entire stay. Cast members and other people around the resort will notice you and tell you congratulations. It makes you feel great! Make sure that when you check into your resort, they know that it is your honeymoon. One day when we came back to our room, we found a picture of Mickey and Minnie autographed. We thought that was pretty cool. We also got free champagne glasses at Cinderell's Royal Table and a certificate. But in the end, it is just really cool to hear people who you don't know tell you congrats all day. It kind of makes you feel like your important. LoL.

We honeymooned there. It was our first visit to Walt Disney World. My wife had been to Disneyland as a child. I had never been to either one. We stayed for only three days, and was able to do everything twice. We ate real good but stayed off grounds. I had only five hundred dollars in my pocket, and came home with money left. That was 27 years ago this past October 3rd. There was only The Magic Kingdom, and only three day passes. (Still have the passes.) Sorry, I don't have any "romantic" tips. Maybe when my daughter grows up and moves out, we may try a romantic trip to wdw.

Well, we stayed at the Beach Club and got a free room upgrade...which was nice. When we returned from the Magic Kingdom, there was an autographed picture from Mickey and Minnie congratulating us on our marriage.
Some of the other freebies were just things similar to wearing a birthday sticker. But if you both wear the Bride and Groom Mickey/Minnie ears....you get even more attention. We got preferred seating at parades and shows too!

However, I think some of that stuff was called in by my friends and supervisors from Disneyland! :)
