Hello VF faithful, my sister was talking to one of her online buddys on aim that works at Disneyland, and she told my sister that CMs hate APers. I know theres a ton of nice and hard working CMs at the park that do nothing but there best. Personally, theres bad in everything you look, you just may push someones buttons and they just dont like you for some unknown reason, ive had a few CMs that seem nice at first then just kinda give you the cold shoulder later on when you see them over and over time and time again. Well, I just dont really care what they think, im there to just have fun, just wondering if you guys had that feeling or not. Whats your thought on this?

There's a girl CM in the Starcade who will routinely give me $1 to play SuperNova if she sees me. She obviously doesn't hate AP'ers.

Well my bros a CM and has talked about this a few times. Some cast members dislike AP holders because alot of the time, some AP holders sort of act like they own the place. I've seen it plenty of times. For example, for the TOT CM preview, there was a line of AP'ers whining and trying to get in. Of coarse they didnt, but there are AP holders that think they are better than General Admission. Thats just what i've seen and my bro talks about.

^^ Thats awsome of her, havent stopped in the Starcade in a while for a nice round of Star Wars Trilogy Arcade lol. Well my sisters online friend is really into Disneyland and I guess gets on CMers nerves for being too much into it, some can handle it some CMers cant, guess its whom you bump into at times. When I think about it, they dont hate us, im sure if we met them like other people on the street, they would have the same original point of you, same valid opinion on us.

And if that's the case, it's their attitude that should be shunned, not the fact they happen to have AP's in their wallets. That's misguided anger turned stereotypical - how sad. Fill in the the blank with whatever you want, 'I'm ___________ therefore I'm better than you' is never, ever valid.

Honestly, how would a CM know if I was an AP or not? I think the only CMs that know would be the ones at the entrance. Otherwise I'm just a normal, albeit overly decorated, park guest.

Sometimes they'll have their APs hanging from their lanyard, all merch/food locations have guests present APs at the time of purchase, and in the case of Tower - there was an AP-only preview for it back before it opened. But, as I said before, it's the bad attitude that should be shunned, not the fact the person carries a small card in their wallet.

a small card in their wallet.
That magically gets them in Disneyland. :P
APers who deserve the wrap will play the AP card. I was in line over at the trams once haeding back to the garage. A lady and her child did not want to wait (it was mid afternoon when there isn't a lot of trams running.)
She turned to the CM and demanded he gets one of the other trams over there right now. He told he could not do that. She said "I am an AP for this Park and you have to do what I say." The CM was shocked as was I.
It is amazing what people think they are entitled to. So, yes, some APs deserve the bad rep they get - but I try to make sure I am super curtious to the CM when I am there.

I dunno... I could say... I am... not a rapist... or not a terrorist. and that makes me better...
That would apply if I were talking to a rapist or a terrorist.
But other than that, completely valid point. Totally agree with that statement, matt.
I just imagined that smae phrase said in a French accent.... I am FRENCH... haha. anyway....
I have seen some pretty bad behavior from general admission and aps. but it seems that some aps feel entitled to their bad behavior. on the other hand, my uncle is an ap and is always very courteous.

Ya, just remember to be curtious and polite to everyone you see at Disneyland, including CM's, so you will happy, and so will they.
I don't know, based on what I hear, I wonder it is that some CM's fear of having to put up with the stubborn crowd demanding things? I would if I had to deal with that. So I can understand why.

Yeah that is shocking, but she could have touted her Discover card and said something like "I'm a Discover card customer therefore ______" To me, that's another example of the bad attitude really being the issue instead of the AP.
Some APs have bad attitudes, but I've heard many a park-hopper guest say things like "With all this money I've spent, I deserve _______" and that's not right either. It's all about the attitude says Chief O'Brien - the broken record.
By the way, since we're discussing Disney AP'ers, we're moving to All Things Disney! Keep your hands, arms, feet & legs inside the tram at all times & if your AP should 'accidentally' fall out, do NOT jump out after it!

Yea, you hit it on the head. It is all about an attitude. Funny how a person can choose to spend their money for entertainment and then think they get to dictate to that entertainment; whether the money is spent via Discover, an dAp or whatever.

Yup, just some people these days, thats pretty shocking for that lady demanding a tram RU42... so amazing that they think they can move the world with just one card with your picture and your name on it lol. Im very curtious and thankful to the CMs I meet everytime I go. :)

I overheard this woman 2 weeks ago talking loudly to a friend she met at the park about how that she was a AP and how she deserved the right to park in the parking structure when they are parking in the outside Pinochio(sp.?) lot. I was appolled(sp.?) at this woman.
My mom and I are AP's and we are treated nice and sometimes bad no matter if we are AP's or not. Useualy it is the young CM's who are rude. It seems like the older CM's are nicer.
