When I was there in 2001, I stood in line for about an hour to ride. I got into the training video part, and after the training video was over, it started raining outside...so the ride was shut down for awhile.
Now, they gave me an exit pass to come back and ride again, which I did...and STUPID ME, I did not purchase the picture of me on the ride....I was the ONLY RIDER in the CAR! THE ONLY ONE! I still kick myself to this day. DANG, what was I thinking?

THE most awesome ride in Epcot!

OOOOO! OOOO! i have been waiting for a thread about this! one of my favorite rides at epcot. ok, i can tell you the whole thing(almost). so, WARNING! spoilers.

ok, firt the queue. i wouldnt suggest going on this in the first place without a fast pass or a shorty wait time. the CM's escort you to one of three waiting rooms. the doors open (sometimes it take a while) and you walk in. the lights dim, and a video comes on. some guy is talking about tests you are going to have to go through. then he says "a surprise test" the lady says "surprise tests?" "yes, a surprise test, just pick one" so he keeps talking, and the lady pushes a buton, and you see a clip of a car running into a wall. you walk out into another queue. after a few switch backs, you get in the car. (i like the front of it more.) you put on seat belts, and go up a small hill. a CM there checks to make sure your seat belt is on, then your off. first, you go up hill, then down it. on the way down, there are potholes that shake you around. you get to the bottom, with more bumps, shaking you again. you go around a turn, and stop. a small tv comes on, showing you the two people in the first video. they tell you that you are going to feel like it is while turning without ABS (anti-lock brake system) you accelerate quickly, and swerve very quickly. it hurts. then you stop again. the tv tells you you are going around aanother turn WITH the ABS. accelerate again, another sharp turn, but not aspainfull as the first. then you slow down, and go around a short turn. there is a TV that shows you going around each turn. then into a heat room. there are lots of heat lamps, and they turn on to about 120 degrees i think. they turn off pretty quickly too. another short turn (if you look closly, there is a hidden mickey on a whiteboard in the control room during this turn) your car goes into a very cold room, at 20 degrees i think. another slight turn, and "corrosive" liquid sprays at the people in the sides of the cars. (its just water) now, for some reason, i think im skipping something.......well, you go into a big room with painted "trees" there is a sign that is hard to see, but it has a cow on it, and beneath it says "moo" (just thought that was funny) you speed up, going around tight turns, pulling quite a few lateral G's, each turn going a little faster. after thethird turn, there is a quick dip (this will hurt a little) and around another turn. the light s go out, and you cant see anything. you swerve, and two bright lights turn on, and a loud honking starts "it looks like you are going to hit the truck) you come out of there, and see a very smashed up saturn vue (this ride is sponsered by GM) and you go around a turn slowly. there is a dark room infront of you, and a solid wall. you accelerate forward, the lights turn on, and there is a bright flash. right before you hit the doors, they open, and you go down a slight hill, outside. it doesnt really feel like you are going that fast. after a huge turn, you are really speeding. a sign shows yur spped, and it is usually around 58 and increasing. then a banked turn, around the entire building, you are pulling abput 3.5 to 4 G's in this turn. if you are on the left side of the car, look down, and you can see the beginning of the queue, and people whizzing by very quickly. you finish the turn, and slow down. this hurts. you slow, keep going, slow, etc, and keeps jerking you. you go down a slight hill, and there is a thermal immaging TV, and people wave their hands, seeing the heat in their bodys. after a few more turns, it is back into the station.
i would have to reccomend this ride
now my fingers hurt.........

I didn't mind that part, but the part I beat myself up on is that I was the ONLY person in the car and I didn't buy the picture. How often are you the ONLY person in the car??? DANG!

it was on a little screen in the middle of each car. during the ride, it showed diffrent statistics, like lateral G's, speed, etc.

This ride is awesome hands down.

The music in the queue can get on your nerves though.. it repeats itself about, what is it?.. every ten seconds in seems like. It really does build up the suspense though.

There was this one time I went on it and there were these two ladys in the front row (we were in the back) and when it came to the part were they perform the "crash test", they turned around to look at us to say they loved the ride. But we were like no!, turn around! They turned around just in time to scream because they saw the wall right in front of them. We were all laughing once we got off of the attraction.

The music in the queue does get annoying, especially when you have to wait in line for an hour. Overall, the ride isa thrill, you have to ride it.

Guests do tend to do crazy things mickey2005 :)
