Every time I download manual ziped files for custom scenery, the same thing happens. I click on the thing I want to use (example: shyguy's mainstreet wall 1), but then my game freezes and a pop up comes on saying
"No:svd for:sid". Yet all my exe's work. I need help on this.

This means you have the directory installed wrong.

Here is how to fix it:

---

Step One: Go into your Style/Themed folder:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v259/jtrchopper/step1.jpg
It will something like this will all the scenery you have.

---

Step 2: Go into the folder that is the set that is exiting on you E.G. Aceana ROCKS!:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v259/jtrchopper/step3.jpg
THIS IS WHAT INSIDE A THEMED FOLDER SHOULD LOOK LIKE.

---

Step 3: A folder giving you No:svd for :sid most likely looks like this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v259/jtrchopper/step2.jpg

Then inside that you have the folder that looks like the one in step 2.

---

Step 4:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v259/jtrchopper/step4.jpg

Inside that you have the real thing.

---

Step 5: Moving the files:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v259/jtrchopper/step5.jpg
Move them into the correct folder.

---

Continue in next post!

---

Step 6: This what what it will now look like.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v259/jtrchopper/step6.jpg

---

Step 7: Delete the empty folder.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v259/jtrchopper/step7.jpg

so it will now look like this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v259/jtrchopper/step3.jpg

---

Hope this helps.

I tried downloading DRP's tubes earlier today. In the folder, there's not a second one that says DRP's tubes, but folders for each of the items inside the the pack. I clicked on one of the items in the game, agian my game freezes and "No:svd for:sid" pops up again.

Also make sure you NEVER, EVER change the folders names that can also cause the problem.

When I meant not working I meant this...how do you move the files?

Click and drag to select all the items, then on the bar on the right there is something that will say "Move The Selected Items."

Another thing I have to ask. What If the inside of the folder for the custom scenery has folders for each of the items, and the inside of these folders say "common ovl" and "unique ovl".

"Svd: for :Sid?" if that's what it is, my tutorial will work for it.

It just means you have 1, 2, 3, etc extra folders before the real one. You have to make sure that when you open the first folder, it will have a 'style.common' OVL and a 'style.unique', the some 1 or more folders inside it that have ovl's inside them too.

Remember if you changed the name of the folders you will get the problem too.\

Edit: Alex how about this, upload the scenery folder on rapid share or mega upload and I will try to fix the directories for you.

This why:
Sometimes the computer has trouble uncompressing files with such large stuff. The data gets somewhat "modified" or tiny bit "corrupt". This can't effect a movie or a txt file, but the ovl files are delicate and can't be messed with. I re-install the set and it works on some of them.

Um, this is what I do. Go to the file that has the costom scenery I want to put in my game. Then I open up My Computer(or My Documents). I go to drive C, go to program files. Then go to atari. Go to RollerCoaster Tycoon? 3. Go to Style. Then go to theme. Then I go to the file with the costom scenery that I already opened before I opened another window. I make sure there's a folder or two when I put it in there. if it happenes, click on the first one,(do this unil you find the folder before the folder with the style common and style unique next to it), then I drag it to the style/themed folder. I hope this helps!

ok let me see if o got it
First of all were i need to save it?

And the last part i dont understand it sory!

DisneyFanatic13

You save it to, "C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon? 3\Style\Themed."

That's okay if you don't understand it. My english isn't very good either. I'm Vietnamese. So, it's hard. But my sister's english is really good. And mine isn't. Even though I was born in L.A.

Anyway.

You need to have the costom scenery in a folder(the folder before it). And the folder after the folder before should have style.common.ovl and style.unique.ovl next to it.
