Hey guys! I was just browsing around Tokyo DisneySea's website, and they have this 5th anniversary thingie (hmm... I wonder why DCA doesn't have that...). Anyways, I found this new show called BraviSEAmo! It looks kinda like Fantasmic...

Here's the video:

Let us know how you guys think! =)

Yes, Tokyo DisneySea is one of the Disney parks outside U.S.A. I most want to visit.
Also, DCA, they had DCA take part in DLR 50th anniversary, thats why.

BraviSEAmo is just brilliant. The musical score is so overwhelming and emotional, plus the special effects trump even Fantasmic! I had the opportunity to catch this show from my room in the Hotel MiraCosta.

I find it just like Fantasmic, except in Japanese... does anyone know what the plot is? They speak Japanese...

It's basically tells a love story between a graceful spirit of water named Bellisea and a powerful spirt of fire called Prometeo.

Actually, BraviSEAmo isn't *that* new. It's been showing in Mediterranean Harbor since July 2004. The new shows for the 5th Anniversary include: The Legend of Mythica, Meet & Smile (the pre-5th show was called Lido Isle Meet & Smile), Big Band Beat, and Over the Waves (which replaced Sail Away).

But yeah, back to BraviSEAmo...I saw it when I went to TDS in May. I don't think ANY video/picture can capture how breathtaking this show is! The music is so beautiful and relaxing. Mt. Prometheus errupting is amazing! And I love the storyline for it. So romantic!!! It's definitely NOT, I repeat NOT a Fantasmic! It's so much better! Seriously, if you ever get the chance, go see it in person.

But... I hear it's all advanced tech and stuff, but not really much of a plot. Isn't it just a water and a fire god mating together?

And like the plot for Fantasmic is any better? At least BraviSEAmo has an original plot instead of the Mickey VS Villains theme of Fantasmic which I find to be too generic.

Japanese people sure know how to make a great show and imagination.

True that;) ! What I noticed is that both DCA and TDS has a Tower of Terror, but the one at DisneySEA has an orginial storyline. I think japanese people have more of an imagination than they do in America. No disrepecting, but still...in California, you think they can come up with something a little more orginial.

That is so true. Because they didn't want to use the "Twilight Zone" (not that the Japanese really knew about it anyways), they wanted to make it fit the theme, which was New York.

Anything else about BraveSEAmo?

ah92us is correct. If the Twilight Zone TV show had been a hit, or even partly known by the Japanese audience, then they would have used it there as well. Since it wasn't, OLC decided on the original story.

Well, weren't there also money issues too? Pay to Disney... pay to the ppl who made the Twilight Zone TV series...

Yeah thats why they didn't want to push the TZ theme in more.

It is!;) I mean, at Walt Disney World, they took the Cinderellabration show from TDL! That's not very orignial. And for the Soarin' ride, they didn't even use a different film. They just used a recycled version of the DCA film!
If Soarin' was ever built in Tokyo DisneySEA (which I'm not saying they are!), they would of used a film of flying over Japan (that would be cool :-).

Before, disney would always throw the dice and come up with something new-been-done-before. Now, you can't expect that from Disney anymore! They just recycle rides from other parks (e.x. Monsters Inc. at DCA. The audio-animatronics don't move their lips. A step back from they specialze in. I hope the tokyo version will be better.)

I really hope BraviSEAmo lasts just as long as Fantasmic at Disneyland because I really love that musical score. It would be good if they could expand and improve on it over the years but I never want them to take it out completely and replace it with a new show. Though I heard it hasn't been as big a hit as they planned it to be....

Hmm... it seems to me that Disney has come to expect TOO much from their shows, attractions, etc. I mean, when Fantasmic came out, they expected it to run for about a summer.... now what?

14 YEARS!
