Cinderella, Peter Pan, and Little Mermaid aren't made for adults and will not be in theaters so no loss there.

Can't wait for Pirates of the Caribbean 3 though! YEAH!

Movies with a 3 at the end should be avoided. POTC 3 could and should be the exception. Meet the Robinsons, I plan on seeing, just because of the cool Todayland scene that the preview shows. Any original ideas, I have a wait and see attitude, although I do like the fact that they're turning back to the classics with Rapunzel.

And the one that really scares me (even more than the "3" movies) is the Tinker Bell movie. Brittany Murphy doing the voice of Tink? TINK'S NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO TALK, PEOPLE!!!

Call me when the make Maynard's Grand Adventure. That's something I'd shell out ten bucks to see, as long as they cast Maynard as himself and not Jim Carrey....

If you read the first Disney Fairies books Tinkerbell and the other Fairies do talk, its just like its translated from their language to English or whatever. So i guess thats how their gonna get round it

I really don't like it when they make sequels. i mean, would they receive heaps of feedback about what Disney fans want and don't want.

They'd better NOT make a Snow White 2!

Can't wait for POTC3 but other than that no to all. IMHO sequels and trilogies should only be made close to the original movie-and only if they have a new and completely different storyline that just barely ties in to the first movie. POTC is a great example of this as the first movie was not meant to be a sequel/trilogy when it was made. However they did a magnificent job of doing a sequel. And NEVER should a prequel be made. I cannot think of a single movie that did a good job of this. And yes I am including Star Wars...

As for the sequals for the animated classics, I think the originals are good as they are and don't need all these sequels. I think Disney should do better focusing on new, original animated movies, I'm not counting the CG films(Pixar takes care of them).
I mean seriously, I don't recall many new original animated films, since Brother Bear? Correct me if I'm wrong.

So Pixar is trying to release two movies in one year? (Toy Story 3 and W.A.L-E.)

Here's the thing...What made Walt Disney and his product so magical, successful, and beloved can be boiled down to practically one word....STORY.

Walt and the innovative people who worked for him made some incredible advancements in technology and brought animation to a true art form. But this was never done at the expense of story. Walt never churned out product to generate quick and easy money. I would be shocked if Walt would have green lighted Cinderella II. Especially given the low quality of the animation. Money was important, that is why Roy and Walt had arguments. Walt wanted to make the best product with the best story regardless of cost. That philosophy eliminates most of the "2" movies and almost all of the "3" movies.

That said, if the story is there, I have no problem with sequels. I am intrigued by Toy Story 3 now that the Pixar team is running the show. Here you have a franchise with great characters. That alone cannot make for a good movie. If it has a good story - GOOD! Let's make it. Same for POTC. GREAT characters. I, personally, did not like a few of the subtle changes to the characters that facilitated POTC 2, but it was a great movie and I look forward to the next one.

I don't have a problem with sequels. I have a problem with sequels that are thrown together, have bad stories, or bad production (or cheap TV style animation as is the case with the cheapie - direct to video animated sequels).

Well, let's see... The only animated sequel I bought was The Little Mermaid II and was disappointed so will never buy another. Tinkerbell may not speak so will not watch that in protest.

Rapunzel (2009) - One of my favorite fairy tales so probably yes
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008) - first was terrific so maybe
American Dog (2008) - no
Gnomeo and Juliet (2008) - sounds dreadful
W.A.L-E (2008) - huh?
Toy Story 3 (2008) - haven't seen number 1 yet
Enchanted (2007) - depends on the story
Ratatouille (2007) - no
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (2007) - Can't wait!
Meet the Robinsons (2007) - no
Bridge to Terabithia (2007) - too sad
High School Musical 2 (2007) - no
Fraggle Rock: The Movie (2007) -no
The Game Plan (2007) -no
The Monstrous Memoirs of a Mighty McFearless (2007) - no
The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006) - I'll wait for the dvd maybe

It's on the list of things to buy and watch.

Just a random but on-topic comment (I hope) about original stories. Most of Walt's early movies (Snow White, Pinocchio, Song of the South) were not ORIGINAL stories but adaptations of existing stories. I have no argument with someone wanting to adapt a story to film and, in fact, enjoy seeing different "takes" on the same story (I think a Pixar version of Snow White would be very different but just as enjoyable as the animated film). And I ALWAYS want to know what happens next to those characters, so I would love to see well-made sequels. My criticism from watching the one animated sequel that I did buy (Little Mermaid II) was that it seemed like they hadn't taken the time to make it as magical as the first.
