The EPCOT name poll!

EPCOT Center changed it's name slightly in 1994 to become Epcot '94, then Epcot '95, etc., to try to stay modern, relevant, and exciting. They gave up on that after a couple of years, and now we just have plain ol' Epcot. Which name do you guys like better? Sound off!

EPCOT Center sounds like a land in the Magic Kingdom, and Epcot '06 just seems weird.

I gotta go with EPCOT Center. EPCOT was Walt's vision for the whole community/complex. As the theme park is not Walt's EPCOT (but rather a subset of the dream), I favor the EPCOT Center name.

I had to go for EPCOT Center. Monorailed, you explained my reasoning perfectly. EPCOT was a dream for the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. He wanted this to be an actual city where people would live. EPCOT Center merely shows of some of those ideas and is dedicated to Walt's dream.

It is still an acrnoym. Most people within Disney still refer to it as Experimental Prototype Community Of Tommorow.:wink:
Also can people please stop making fun of MY PARK. Especialy the Eisner part. I hate when they call Mickeys arm the arm of Eisner. I dont think of EPCOT as a Disney entity as much. It feels more like well a Theme Park about LIFE.

EPCOT Center was its original name, and I like it, but I also like EPCOT better. I like EPCOT because it is (or now perhaps was) like a World's Fair to live forever.

EPCOT, short, simple and explains it all. The 'Center' part is more of an extra tag onto the word that follows it everywhere it goes.

I guess Epcot is what i usually say, but I have said Epcot Center sometimes. I'm such a fan of the classics!!!
