latley ive taken my camera everywhere I go, and whenever I record it on to the comp it records all these strange lines. No clue why they are there. Take A Look.

Is that normal?

Are you using your camera as a webcam? If you are, then the quality is usually poor.

If that's video you're taking, that looks like "interlacing" to me. Basically, there's two "fields" of alternating lines in the image (the "odd" field and the "even" field) that change at different times. When you put them on the computer which is not an interlaced screen, the two fields are slightly off and you get the comb look seen above. Many video editing programs come with a deinterlacing filter, or you can find one to download that is compatible with your program. When you deinterlace, you'll lose a bit of image quality but you'll lose those lines, too, so it's a bit of a tradeoff.

my camera, that didn't take video along with pictures, did that after about 4 years of use... haven't sent it in to be looked at yet... lol but it sucks that it does that to pictures
