I think the 50th came in with a bang and will go out in a whisper. I think they'll just quietly make the change. They're actually decorating Disneyland for halloween this year, for the first time in years according to page 3 of this Al Lutz article on MiceAge: 4/18: Al Lutz It'll be a good opportunity to quietly transition away from the 50th special events to holidays, without any big to-do.

Not that I know anything, I'm just guessing.
