This section sits next to the Camarillo Grade and is an easier drive on your car and a much nicer view. In the spring the lemon and orange blossoms are blooming and it smells wonderful. Or take the same route but get off the 23 at New LA Avenue and head all the way down through Moorpark to Camarillo's backside. Hope this helps you out.

Yeah.... I've lived in Mission Oaks for 32 years. Before that I lived in Simi Valley and my parents still live there, so I've been driving Santa Rosa Road for many years. On top of it, my husband taught at Moorpark College for over 30 years and so I've driven the 118 for that many years, too.
Here's what I'm thinking now.
I'm thinking the cinematography crew may have been sitting on the Moorpark (118) side of the hills that form the north boundary of the Santa Rosa Valley. The copter then came over the hill to shoot the groves on the south side of that hill (which would be the north side of the Santa Rosa Valley on the north side of Santa Rosa Road.) In the video you can see in the distance a little cluster of hills with what appears to be a small pass. I'm guessing Norwegian Grade?
My doubt on this comes from the fact that even ten years ago there were too many houses to have gotten that distance shot clear of homes ANYWHERE in Camarillo, Somis, Moorpark or Saticoy, for that matter.
So, either I'm wrong (gosh, that would be a new one), or they did a lot of editing out of homes and buildings.
I'm thinking that DisneyGuy may be on the better track and Disney has the wrong city.
