They have to incorporate some Native Indian tribe(s) and/or ceremony in everything they do. Even the symbol is an Eskimo custom. Since it seems like Canada is only thought of as being some remote little villages filled with Indians fishing and Eskimo dog sleds in the frozen wastelands I can hardly wait to have the cameras show the world that we are on the same West Coast as Washington St., Oregon, and California. We have the same sandy beaches, big cities, and world class entertainment as anywhere else on the planet. We have all four seasons of weather without the snowfall in the lower mainland of Vancouver. zero snow in the city, all on the ski mountains. Our summers are 2-3 months long with sunshine, beach parties and camping. We do drive cars and fly in planes and the only fishing done by the majority of British Columbians is for sport in our many fresh lakes and in the Pacific Ocean. I hope these Olympics teach everyone that Canada, and especially Vancouver, is a great Country and a world class Olympic City. Canada rocks!
Vancouver is definitely one of my favorite cities. It's location is just beautiful. Hopefully I'll be around in 2010 to be apart of the hubbub.
